I try to see as much as I can during these events which is why I have little time to chat because my mind works at a different level when I’m evaluating so playing everything in my head, as well as the notes, here’s my Second Team
Lilian Johnson Lilian Johnson 5'9" | SF Liberty | 2026 TX -5’9 SF (Liberty) Lady Jets
Johnson gave me an eyeful showing a variety of pluses at various times. Initially, it was her timing and rebounding as she blocked several shots while going after the ball on both ends of the basket. Then she went baseline as good as anyone at the camp and scored off the dribble yet when she played the passing lane to a tee, several times, I just smiled. That smile became a big grin as I watched her ELEVATE over and over for the midrange
Anna Kay Hennigan Anna Kay Hennigan 5'6" | PF Muenster | 2026 TX -5’6 SG (Muenster) Texas Platinum
Hennigan would have been on my SCORER”S article because guess what I consider a scorer? A player that finds ways to put the ball into the basket, it’s that simple so observing her “body control” to create contact, made her an “and one” waiting to happen, even though there were none taken, you get the picture. Her pull-up jumper in transition was also impressive, and so was her BATTLING for rebounds and scoring on putbacks
Pressley Powell Pressley Powell 5'10" | SF Frisco Memorial | 2026 State TX -5’10 SF (Frisco Memorial) Lady Jets
Powell continues to evolve and let me through this in, with her continuous progression coupled with her “college ready frame” her roof has no ceiling, which falls into major upside. She showed “body control” on her finishes, elevated for rebounds, and I wrote UPS, but she also created her shot and dropped some jumpers as well as showed the HEZ to attack off the dribble. What I also enjoyed was her being vocal, as well as supporting teammates from the sideline
Jaclyn Silva Jaclyn Silva 5'5" | PG John Paul II | 2026 State TX -5’4 PG (John Paul II) Pro Skills
Silva is a name that’s turning into GOLD, hopefully, you got that but she is one of those players that left a lasting FIRST impression. Her ballhandling and variety of moves enable her to leave defenders standing still yet her court vision and making the right passes JUST DO IT for me, over and over. Yes, she can shoot the ball from outside and yes, she also plays “on the ball” defense but watching her slide 10 feet on the floor for loose balls had me going
Ti’heiress Davis Ti’heiress Davis 5'8" | CG McAlester | 2026 TX -5’8 SG (Mcalester) GOC 2026
Davis grabbed my attention a few years ago at a camp in Oklahoma and watching her mannerisms, how she reacted in certain situations and how well she did things instinctively all told me what was coming, again, I’m not a novice. The thing I love about her game is that she can create issues without scoring. She defends in the set as well as from baseline to baseline. She rebounds, on both ends and scores off of putbacks and she also plays the passing lane but her ability to handle the ball under pressure and see the floor, is huge. Yes, she can drop the mid to long-range as well as score off the dribble
