On Saturday September 10th I gassed up the car and headed to evaluate some players at the I-35 Showcase in Oklahoma City. At 8:00am it began with the Middle School girls which featured players from Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, of course Oklahoma, and even Colorado. These athletes participated in a skills session, competitive stations, and 5 on 5 scrimmages. The girls below showed a lot of effort, talent, and played some good basketball. Also, highlighted are their “super powers”, these are qualities that make them special on the court and something unique they bring to a team.

[player_tooltip player_id='882010' first='Chloe' last='Davis'] | PG / 5-0 | Nike Pro Skills (TX) | 2029

Chloe is a dynamic point guard that is pretty shifty off the dribble. She stole the show with her quick moves and making timely shots, and had everyone wondering what she was going to do next. She has the ability to get by her defender and get in the paint easily and finish with a floater over the defense or an easy bucket before the defense gets there. She is quick and certainly uses her quickness to her advantage, and creates space off the dribble for uncontested shots. Chloe's super power is her quickness and handles.

[player_tooltip player_id='896562' first='Peyton' last='Singer'] | G / 5-5 | Bixby MS | 2028

Peyton is a strong guard with a poise that you look for in a point guard. She has the ability to get her defender on her hip and get downhill to finish at the rim. She reads the defense well, countering with her patent spin move. Peyton does a good job of using her size to set screens and over power her opponent. Peyton can shoot the ball! Last AAU season she shot 41% behind the three-point line and it showed during the showcase, hitting shot after shot and made it look easy. Peyton's super power is her strength and her shot-making ability.

Jordynn Ratliff | G / 5-5 | Ted Polk MS (TX) | 2027

Jordynn is an athletic guard that has a lot of good qualities. She handles the ball good and can get to the basket fairly easy, she is a competitor that will take the initiative to guard the other team's best player. She has the ability to hit the open shots, and control the pace of the game. During the 5 on 5 scrimmages, she stepped up and hit some timely shots to help her team down the stretch of the game hitting big shots and attacking to the basket and finishing and making free throws. Jordynn's super power is her athleticism and her competitive drive.

Courtlyn Yaussi | G / 5-2 | Noco Knights (CO) | 2027

Courtlyn is a small guard that packs a big punch! She handles the ball fairly well and can handle pressure in the open floor. When on the perimeter she is ready to shoot, and the ball seems to find her. She has a good-looking shot and knows how to get it off even with a defender in proximity. She created space with a step back jumper and hit a couple throughout the day in drills and scrimmages. Courtlyn's super power is her shooting ability.
