Elli Porter Elli Porter 5'8" | CG Kirksville | 2025 State MO (Kirksville): The 5’8″ guard was one of the top perimeter shooters that I watched during the session. She had a five minute stretch where she was knocking down shots from everywhere on the court. She was scoring from all three levels, but the shooting form was the same whether she was on the move coming off a screen, off the catch or off the dribble. She is very fluid in her movements of the court with no wasted motion.
Mari Miller Mari Miller 5'10" | SG Rock Bridge | 2025 State MO (Rock Bridge): The 5’11” guard was playing up with the 2024s at the 17U level. She is a very capable perimeter shooter who can dial it up from 3-point range. She has good fundamentals along with a high basketball IQ. She excels in several different facets of the game as a rebounder, passer and solid defender. She also moves well within the flow of the offense.
BreAunna Ward BreAunna Ward 5'10" | SF John Burroughs | 2025 State MO (John Burroughs): The 5’10” guard displayed her impressive two-way ability as she impacted the game at both ends of the floor. She has a quick first step and a nice burst to get into the lane. She can either get all the way to the basket or stop and pop from the mid-range. Her step-back jumper is also effective. She is very disruptive on the defensive end with her athleticism, length and good instincts.
Gracie McCallop (Bishop Miege, KS): A 5’10” wing guard who did an excellent job at both ends of the court. She is a force on defense with her high motor and ability to guard multiple positions. She is a good on-ball defender who can also play the passing lanes well with good anticipation. She is also a strong rebounder. She is a very effective slasher who attacks the basket well.
Brooke Boyce (Pattonville): A 5’9″ wing guard with good strength and solid fundamentals. She was very effective off the dribble as she was able to get downhill and score on a tough drive. She squares up the basket well and she can set up her defenders before making her move. She is also an effective passer as well as a solid rebounder and defender.
Malia Chievous (Rock Bridge): A versatile 5’9 guard who does well in several facets of the game. She is a good athlete who is strong on the drive and she plays well without the ball with her movement. She handles the ball and she can shoot it.
