In this article we look at some of the players who played well at Prep Girl Hoops. These players have good skill sets and were sleepers at the Expo. They are poised to make major contributions in the upcoming basketball season.

[player_tooltip player_id='219938' first='Taylor' last='Blackshear'] / 2023 / 5'7 SG / The Benjamin School

Blackshear played very well at the PGH Expo. Blackshear runs the floor extremely well. She is very good in transition and always makes a good play whether passing on the break or finishing the fast break with a layup. She has very good speed and plays good on-the-ball defense. Blackshear also plays very good help-side defense. She fights for every ball within her reach.

[player_tooltip player_id='430453' first='Alexia' last='Taliferro'] / 2023 / 5'8 SF / Andrew Jackson

Taliferro is a player who can play various offensive positions on the floor. She does a good job of attacking the paint and also running in transition. Taliferro is not a fancy player but is a workhorse on the floor. She is a player who can score and do so in flurries when she gets it going. She does a little of everything. She rebounds well and can defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='495948' first='Dezaray' last='Bright'] / 2023 / 6'0 C / Keystone Heights

Bright made some good basketball plays. Defensively, Bright locked down the paint and kept opposing post players from scoring inside. A few times due to the matchups, Bright showed she cover even covers wing players out in space. Offensively, Bright set some nice screens for her teammates and fought for good position in the paint. Bright can step outside the paint and occasionally knock down the jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='495940' first='Angelina' last='Kouchis'] / 2023 / 5'6 PG / Bartram Trail

Kouchis is very comfortable handling the ball and can handle the ball against pressure. She shoots the ball very well and can get to the rim with good ball-handling skills. Kouchis showed that she can finish through contact. When the exit of [player_tooltip player_id='248553' first='Kendall' last='Kane'], looks like Kouchis makes it to Bartram just in time Can't wait to see the impact that she will have on Bartram. The Kouchis and Pollard connection could be special.

[player_tooltip player_id='495975' first='Taiylor' last='Cray'] / 2025 / 5'8 SG / Horizon West School

Cray does well at taking the ball to the goal. When she gets it on the wing, she is looking to get downhill and into the paint and score. Cray can put the ball in the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='400773' first='Jolesa' last='Birkhead'] / 2025 / 5'8 SG / Tampa Bay Tech

Birkhead (cover photo ) is a very athletic player with very good speed on the court. She has a smooth left-handed shot. She is a very fast player and runs the court very well. Birkhead has a nice three-point shot and is not afraid to shoot it. She has a very quick release and there is no hesitation in shooting the ball. Birkhead also had a nice rip to midrange shot that was smooth as butter. Birkhead is a good defensive player who plays good man-to-man defense and is also good on help side defense. She will be a player to watch this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='495968' first='Paisley' last='Binswanger'] / 2026 / 5'7 SG / Sarasota

Binswanger shot the ball well at the PGH Expo. She has a smooth shot and can shoot it from multiple levels on the court. Binswanger ran the floor well and could finish with the left hand or right hand. The Freshman can shoot from all levels on the court and is poised to have a special rookie campaign.
