Kamalani Anitielu Kamalani Anitielu 5'6" | PG Farmington | 2023 State NM goes into the 2022-23 regular season as a senior this year. She will play a major role for the Farmington Scorpions this season with her scoring and shooting ability. Kamalani will be asked to do more scoring this year with her sister graduated from this past season. Kamalani was the team’s second leading scorer who averaged about 13 points per game last season. She can score in a variety of way spacing the floor with her shooting from the outside. Kamalani was an All-State and All-District player from last season.
Emma Christiano Emma Christiano 5'4" | PG Las Cruces | 2023 State NM is poised to have another big year for Las Cruces High School. After coming off an excellent season for the Bulldawg’s, she has only carried that into this past summer in the off-season. I would describe her as a point guard that plays with speed that knows how to get to the rim with ease. She has a high basketball IQ and knows how to read the defense when she is making plays for her teammates. Emma plays with a lot of confidence and isn’t afraid of going against players that are bigger in size.
West Mesa’s junior Olivia Montano Olivia Montano 5'4" | CG Sandia | 2024 State NM was one of the states best three-point shooters from last season which led the Mustangs in that category. She is a player that thrives on catch and shoot opportunities from plays that are called for her on the offensive end of the floor. Going into her junior year I would expect her to be given more touches and opportunities from her solid off-season playing club basketball.
Azalia Malizia Azalia Malizia 5'4" | PG Valencia | 2024 State NM is the definition of a tough point guard and works incredibly hard in her game. She was a key player in the Valencia rotation that helped her squad make the girls 4A State Tournament last season. Azalia was a consistent scorer last year that averaged just under 10 points per game as a sophomore. She was one of the states top three-point shooters from last season making 37 three-point field goals. Expect her production to increase next season.
Highlights
Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM is the top prospect in New Mexico and has received plenty of attention over the last year. Throughout her freshman year, she averaged over 22 points per game and was among the the states leaders in scoring. She looks like a professional scorer and like a seasoned high school vet after one season. Her play helped Eldorado make the 5A Girls State Tournament last season and received local attention from many around the community. Throughout the summer and off-season, Bella also received several D1 offers to play at the next level. She is a scoring first point guard that can facilitate for her teammates at a high level.
Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM is arguably the most all around player in the 2025 Class and one of the things that separates her the most from others is her ability to play defense. She was Sandia’s leading scorer last season averaging over 15 points per game as a freshman. Sydney was also among the states top scorers last season. She is an efficient scorer that takes high percentage shots from the floor. Sydney is a good shot creator and drives the ball really well toward the basket which help’s set up her teammates with her play-making. She takes as much pride on the defensive end of the floor as much as her offense.
Brynn Hargrove Brynn Hargrove 5'6" | PG Hobbs | 2025 State NM from Hobbs High School is ahead of many of her peers. She is a player that plays with extreme confidence and can hold her own with just about anyone. What stands out from her game right away is her shooting and scoring ability. As a freshman last season, she was part of Hobbs State Championship run this past spring. She knows how to space the floor and picks her spots with intelligence. She will be asked to carry more of the scoring load this upcoming season.
Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM was seen a lot this past summer at various camps, workouts and tournaments. Despite not being the biggest player, Bleona plays with a huge chip on her shoulder. Last season, she was Del Norte’s second leading scorer who averaged just under 10 points per game. She is a quick guard that can score from outside that played with extreme confidence this past summer. I’m excited for her to take another step in her game this season.
