With the additions the Highlanders made over the offseason, Jacobs’ new team that will compete as part of SCISA’s new 4A classification is a dangerous championship threat. She has a knack for knocking down 3-pointers and places plenty of emphasis on her ball handling skills as a 5-foot-7 guard. Jacobs is an excellent scorer in addition to her being a superb distributor of the ball. If she picks up a steal, she will display how gifted she is as a floor runner and will get out in transition either with the ball in her hands or in tandem with a teammate.
One of the storylines for the 4A power that is the Chiefs would be how the team would perform the season following its berth in the state championship game the year prior to. Farmer had a stellar season in 2021-22 for the Chiefs and once again had North Myrtle Beach deep in the 4A playoff picture. She is particularly dangerous from behind the 3-point line. Farmer also displays impressive handles, can get from one end of the floor to the other in a quick amount of time and throws defenders off balance with how gifted she is at attacking the basket.
The last couple of seasons, the Bulldogs have established themselves as one of the teams to beat in the Palmetto State’s competitive 2A landscape. This coming season is set to be no different. Taylor is listed at 5-foot-4 and plays primarily as a guard. She understands how to organize an offense in a halfcourt set and can throw defenses for a loop with her ability to slash to the rim and finish at the cup or find an open teammate. Taylor also adds a 3-point shooting dimension to a team’s offensive attack. Ball handling is another of Taylor’s strong suits.
