Today, we're looking at the final sectional in division three. Last season, Dominican won this sectional. This year, the Knights moved down into division four, meaning there will be a new winner in this sectional. Let's meet a few teams vying for this sectional title.

State Contenders

Milwaukee Academy of Science

Last season's early exit was disappointing for a team who beat some of the best schools in divisions one and two last year. However, this team has another chance to make a run to the Resch Center, albeit without now North Dakota wing Nakiyah Hurst. [player_tooltip player_id='206728' first='Beautiful' last='Waheed'], [player_tooltip player_id='206719' first='Lalani' last='Ellis'], and [player_tooltip player_id='417959' first='Parker' last='Johnson'] make up one of the most talented trios in division three. The Novas have the personnel to compete with anyone in this division.

Jefferson

The Eagles have possibly the best center in Wisconsin in [player_tooltip player_id='264920' first='Ayianna' last='Johnson']. She has improved every season, and the West Virginia commit will need to be at her best this season while the Eagles replace multiple rotational players after losing six seniors.

Sectional Teams

Clinton

The loss of Elli Teubert is critical, and the Cougars need to find a way to fill that void. However, [player_tooltip player_id='440848' first='Jayden' last='Nortier'] has become one of the most prominent players in the Rock Valley. Nortier finished last season .4 rebounds away from averaging 20 points and ten rebounds.

Catholic Memorial

The Crusaders leading scorer a year ago, Grace Lomen, is off to Parkside, meaning this team will look different than it has the past few seasons. The Crusaders must make up for that production to stay competitive in the Classic Eight. After a wild season with coaching changes on the day of a game, hopefully, things will be more stable. [player_tooltip player_id='337024' first='Olivia' last='Conway'] and [player_tooltip player_id='374232' first='Jenna' last='Welsch'] are two players to watch for this season. With added responsibility, they could be some of the most improved players in their conference.

Frisky Regional Teams

Brown Deer

[player_tooltip player_id='448244' first='Ameerah' last='Grant'] is one of the quickest guards in Wisconsin. Few kids have the anticipation and foot speed to stay in front of her. Jordan Reisma graduating is a massive loss, but Grant's ability could help Brown Deer beat some teams in the postseason.

Racine Lutheran

The Crusaders nearly made it to the division four state tournament last season. They beat Milwaukee Academy of Science in the regional final and The Prairie School in the sectional semifinal before losing to state runner-up Laconia by two in overtime. Coach Shaffer knows what he's doing, and his players believe in what they're doing, which makes them dangerous.

University School of Milwaukee

[player_tooltip player_id='206729' first='Mya' last='Hartjes'] is one of the few players who seems innocent on the court until the game is over, and she's walking off the floor with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. This team will go as far as she can take them, and she has all the ability to help her team get to a sectional this year.
