Don’t get in confused, you’re going to run into money-grab events that drop fictitious rankings, that’s the era and sadly, if it fits someone’s narrative, they run with it. I only Run with what I see and here’s what I saw from this group
Maliah Sumler Maliah Sumler 5'10" | PF Timber Creek | 2026 TX -5’10 PF (Timber Creek) Drive Nation
Sumler left a lasting impression by showing DESIRE going after the ball, whether it was off the rim or on the floor and she falls into that “you won’t outwork me” category that gives her the #THROWBACK hashtag. She’s strong and understands how to use her body. She also showed she could finish around the basket after contact included and she did a good job defending on the interior
K’mari Henley K’mari Henley 5'8" | SF Boswell High School | 2026 TX -5’8 SF (Boswell) Locked In Elite
Henley mixed up her offensive toolbox quite well and by showing me she could use a deceptive first step to get by the defender was an eye-catcher yet her body control on her finishes had both of my eyes wide open. She’s strong and contact is irrelevant because she scored after the lick, this includes on putbacks, and she rebounds on both ends as well. She runs the floor and applied pressure defensively, baseline to baseline
Caroline Elise Piles Caroline Elise Piles 5'8" | PF Rains | 2026 TX -5’8 PF (Rains) Texas Elite East Texas Spurs
Piles gets the #THROWBACK off the top because of her “hands and footwork” enabling her to get baskets and by showing that it still works against taller players had me flashing back to another era. She also rebounded on both ends and her following the ball off the rim was more than solid, and so was her facing the basket to score. Solid defender, plays within herself and understands how to get hers in the flow
Mya Alston– 5’9 SG/SF (Mustang) BTR
Alston had me drop #D1Lock I think the year before last but hey, she’s long and athletic, and please remember “that’s the base. She scores however she wants, her first step is a monster yet so are her finishes yet she’s also graceful while gliding to the basket. She elevates on her jumper, drops it with a hand in her face, and plays the passing lane. After the steal, she handles the ball in the open court. Let me not forget her timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots
Netalya Hurst Netalya Hurst 5'9" | SG Byron P. Steele | 2026 TX – 5’9 SG/SF (Byron P. Steele) SA Lady Hoops
Hurst BURST onto the scene with a very impressive performance but after all, she’s long and athletic, see above, and here are her intangibles. I love her timing and court awareness, she played the passing lane very well but her UPS just grabbed me. She elevated over players to score and rebound, she showed the jumper was legit, and watching her create her shot and drop the midrange while being defended was huge
