Solid post player on both ends of the court. Able to defend the rim, block and alter shots, aggressive and can lock down the opposing post with her length and physical play. Runs the floor well, good hands and is able to handle the ball in an uptempo game. Has active hands and is able to guard inside or out. Katie debuts in the Top 75 after moving up from the Watch List and has plenty of time to continue to improve her ranking.
Kya (featured photo above) is a very heady player who is capable of playing very good on-ball defense, forcing mistakes with active hands and is athletic enough to create an uptempo game in open space. Handles the ball well on the move, quick and a playmaker. She has good range and is able to open a game with her deep scoring range. Distributes the ball well, she moves up from the Watch List.
Highlights
With her size, Brooke is capable of helping her team in a variety of ways. She can score, as she put in more than 14 ppg. last season, but even with her size, she was a force on the boards. She is strong around the rim, can finish and take advantage of chances at the free throw line. Good defender, smart and heady, high basketball IQ.
Highlights
Megan is a combo guard who catches your eye the way she can light up the perimeter. Moves well without the ball, active and creates her shot. Handles the ball well, good step-back shot. Can put the ball on the floor and get downhill. She can read things well in advance of the play, smart heady player who anticipates and forces mistakes.
I got to see her at the Dayton Shootout, and feel she is a solid player who jumps into the rankings from the Watch List. Reagan is a strong, physical player, able to create with patience. She makes good decisions with a high basketball court sense. She is a good team player and can get the job done at both ends of the court.
