Continue Reading60 high school girls arrived in Edmond, OK on Sunday October 16, 2022 to compete and play against the best players in our region. The players listed made a great impact on the court and in my opinion were the top performers of the showcase. The gym was filled with talent, but these players stood out to me.
Elizabeth Buendia | 5-5 / G | Lovington HS | 2024
Elizabeth is a feisty guard that puts in work on the defensive end. She will pick the ball up full court and run and jump trap the ball occasionally. I like her game because she keeps a positive attitude on the court. She plays hard on the ball and if she gets called for a block, she smiles and laughs it off. She displayed leadership ability communicating to her teammates and making sure they are in the correct spots. She can shoot the outside shot and made a few in front of me as well as some mid-range shots. She is fun to watch and I like her mindset on the court.
Alysa Mack Alysa Mack 5'11" | PF Macarthur | 2025 State OK | 5-9 / F | MacArthur HS | 2025
Alysa is a forward with good size that plays strong and deceptive. She knows how to sell the shot and get the defense to guess her next move. She changes directions swiftly and uses her footwork to create opportunities at the rim. She attacks the basket from the perimeter and can mix it up with her back to the basket in the post. She is a solid player with loads of potential.
Katie Allen Katie Allen 5'8" | SG Mcalester | 2025 State OK | 5-8 / G | McAlester HS | 2025
Katie is a guard that demands respect from beyond the 3-point line. She is a ready shooter that has hands locked and loaded with eyes ready to let it fly. She is a volume shooter but when she gets on fire, you can not stop her. I like her effort on defense because she works hard. She will crash the boards and her on-ball pressure is relentless; she is trying to win and does what it takes to win.
Kylie Ross Kylie Ross 5'5" | PG Mt. St. Mary | 2025 State OK | 5-5 / G | Mount St. Mary School | 2025
Kylie is a smart guard that continues to intrigue me every time I see her play. She takes her time and looks for the best play possible. She controls the pace of the game and is never sped up. She doesn’t get flustered and plays with her head up. Another one of Kylie’s super powers is her ability to knock down big shots. She started off slow but when she got in to a rhythm, her production quickly went up a few levels and didn’t come down. When I say she is a “MUST SEE” player, you can take my word for it.
Ashtynn Barnett Ashtynn Barnett 5'9" | SF Luther | 2024 State OK | 5-9 / G | Luther HS | 2024
Ashtynn is an active player that plays with intensity and effort. She is working to attack the basket and make things happen on the court. She is a slasher that cuts to the open spot, and is ready to score. She will sacrifice her body to make a play and provide value on the court. She shoots the ball from deep but is really effect attacking the basket. I like her game because she leaves it out on the court.
