SubscribeThe 695Hoops Unfinished Business Showcase featured over 30 prospects at St. Frances Academy on a Friday night. Many of them helped themselves move closer to securing that goal of getting a scholarship to play ball in college. Here are five that I want to highlight before the high school season begins.
Neveah has good size and length for a combo guard. She has steadily improved her ball handling and shooting over the past two seasons. She really stood out in the showcase as one of the kids who showed leadership on and off the court, cheering for teammates and constantly communicating. She showed off her range from deep and made some good defensive plays.

Delaney was one of the best shooters in the event, period. She knocked down several long threes and showed off a quick release while doing it. She moved without the ball to get open and was shot ready when the passes came her way. She also showed the ability to make shots off the dribble, and she ran some point when the opportunity presented itself. She should have a big season in Baltimore County.
Marley showed up to play at this event. She competed hard on defense and used her length to her advantage. She was one of the better shooters in the gym and dropped a couple of long threes. She shot the ball with confidence and without hesitation.
Aliya showed why she is one of the best athletes in the area during this event. She is a big guard at 5’11” and really uses her natural talent to her advantage. She is a strong defender because of size, speed, strength and athleticism. She excels at defending wings, but she can handle herself with smaller guards as well. She is physical and aggressive on the boards and has expanded her offensive arsenal this fall. She looks more comfortable attacking off the dribble and her perimeter shot has improved.

Reese is a big guard that can stretch the floor with her range from beyond the arc. She can also put the ball on the floor and finish. She is solid defensively on the ball and as a team defender.
