I'm thankful for so many things but one of them was that I caught Converse Judson via LIVESTREAM from the Texas Invitational. They are definitely in the mix with their talented freshmen duo of [player_tooltip player_id='510463' first='Delaney' last='Arredondo']-5'4 PG and 6'2 Cora Bennett whose upside is somewhat scary plus the improvement from sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='363855' first='Kayla' last='King']-5'9 SG. They also have talented Kierstin Sandelin-5'9 SG who is out but WILL BE BACK as well as long ball extraordinaire Aaliyah Henderson-5'5 SG. The big key will come from PGH Top 100 [player_tooltip player_id='311902' first='Zaadiyah' last='Stovall']-6'0 PF and here's why. One of the teams they may have to go through is San Antonio Clark

Clark is led by junior [player_tooltip player_id='878619' first='Arianna' last='Robinson']-6'2 C who I missed all club season yet the buzz is she's much higher than I have her listed on PGH Texas and she definitely could be yet I can't evaluate what I don't see so hopefully I can catch them online or next club season. She and [player_tooltip player_id='533760' first='Ramsey' last='Robledo']- 5'10 CG helped their squad make a DEEP run to the state semifinals losing to eventual champion Desoto by only 10

Let me throw Austin High into the mix and why shouldn't I, they have not 1, not 2, but 3 Division 1 signees who can flat-out play. [player_tooltip player_id='533751' first='Jade' last='Clack'] and twins [player_tooltip player_id='204174' first='Aubrey' last='Reid'] and [player_tooltip player_id='204175' first='Shanel' last='Reid'] are all listed on the PGH Texas Top 100, and so is talented junior [player_tooltip player_id='158864' first='Kemah' last='Shaw']

I caught Brennan this week at the Alamo City Hoops Thanksgiving Throwdown and you just never know because their firepower is coming from multiple spots

Aaliyah Cobb-5'6 CG [2023]

Cobb is one of the top defensive guards in her region and her "on the ball" pressure as well as an understanding of how to trap as well as using her hands to pick up steals create problems and lead to turnovers

[player_tooltip player_id='311899' first='Zanyra' last='Adams']-5'8 G/SF [2023]

Adams plays taller than her listed height and won't back down inside the paint as she not only battles but also outrebounds taller opponents on both ends. Like Cobb, she can be a terror on the defensive end, both inside and outside the paint

Tyra Sotelo-5'4 CG [2024]

Sotelo is THE GLUE that holds things together and she has a knack for knocking down the huge shot to start or change the momentum yet her jumper is smooth, her court vision is solid and she handles the ball well under pressure

[player_tooltip player_id='309648' first='Taylor' last='Ross']-6'0 C/PF [2024]

Ross is "long and athletic" which will always be the base. Her progression each year keeps elevating her next-level possibilities yet I'm impressed with her adding the midrange jumper to go along with her powerful finishes in the paint. She rebounds on both ends and runs the floor yet her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots is priceless

[player_tooltip player_id='510462' first='Bella' last='Fleming']-6'0 PG [2026]

Fleming had me drop the #D1Lock on her in the 5th grade and I haven't been wrong yet because the next sighting, I said throw away the key because BCS here she comes. She's running the 1, at her size and already "gets it" as the transition was smooth and fast. Her court vision and ball handling are nice, she can drop the jumper, mid to long range while being defended and her college-ready frame understands how and when to attack as she finishes after contact

OTHERS

Elyse Sellers-6'0 SF [2023] [player_tooltip player_id='861364' first='Tiara' last='Louis']-5'8 SG [2024] and [player_tooltip player_id='516311' first='Emani' last='Gibbs']-5'6 PG [2025] provide more heat coming off the bench yet in a one-game playoff, you just never know how things will turn out, so many variables have to be right but it should be interesting and exciting to see
