<p>The New Mexico High School Coaches Association are the ones who select and determine the Girls All-State Teams. They have been doing this since 2009, Athletes are first nominated by their head coach and ranked by all head coaches in that respective classification. There is a First Team All-State and a Second Team All-State consisting of eight players each. There are sixteen total players selected from both teams consisting of Guards, Forwards and Centers. This article will give our predictions for the All-State Teams, The 4A Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year. </p>

<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id='385929' first='Alyssa' last='Maes'] (St.Pius X)- One of the top guards in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='385929' first='Alyssa' last='Maes'] led the Sartans to the 4A Girls State Tournament last year. Last season as a junior, [player_tooltip player_id='385929' first='Alyssa' last='Maes'] was a Second Team All-State Selection.</p>

<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id='353914' first='Aneesa' last='Chavez'] (Moriarty)- Moriarty Guard [player_tooltip player_id='353914' first='Aneesa' last='Chavez'] was one of the top scorers in New Mexico last season averaging over 14 points per game. She was selected to First Team All-Metro last season. </p>

<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id='353912' first='Gabby' last='O'Hara'] (Bernalillo)- Bernalillo Forward [player_tooltip player_id='353912' first='Gabby' last='O'Hara'] was a near double-double threat last season for the Spartans. She averaged 11 points per game and over 8 rebounds per game while leading Bernalillo to the 4A State Championship game. She was selected to First Team All-State last season.</p>

<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id='391108' first='Jadyn' last='Montoya'] (Valencia)- Last season as a freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='391108' first='Jadyn' last='Montoya'] led her team in scoring averaging over 10 points per game and led the Valencia Jaguars to the 4A State Quarterfinals last season. </p>

<p>Guard/Forward: [player_tooltip player_id='353953' first='Aaliyah' last='Nevarez'] (Highland)-[player_tooltip player_id='353953' first='Aaliyah' last='Nevarez'] played a huge role for the Highland Hornets last season. She was the teams second leading scorer, helped lead them to the 4A State Quarterfinals and was a Third Team All-Metro Selection last season. </p>

She averaged a double-double, led her team in scoring and rebounding. Kathleen was a First Team All-State Selection for the Huskies last season. </p>

<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id='391110' first='Bleona' last='Agushi'] (Del Norte)- The Del Norte PG averaged 9 points per game last season as a freshman and was the teams second leading scorer last season. </p>

<p>Guard: [player_tooltip player_id='391242' first='Leah' last='Valdez'] (Bernalillo)- A sharpshooting sophomore last season that averaged about 12 points per game. She was among the best three-point shooters in New Mexico making 66 from behind the arc and shooting 46% from deep. Played a huge role in Bernalillo's 4A State Championship run last season. Was selected to Second Team All-Metro last season. </p>

<p>Forward: [player_tooltip player_id='391174' first='Alyssa' last='Vigil'] (Hope Christian)- One of the top wings in New Mexico and is elite in multiple areas on the floor. Alyssa averaged about 16 points per game and 6 rebounds for the Huskies last season. While reaching the 4A Girls State Playoffs, Alyssa was a Second Team All-Metro Selection. </p>
