No. 31: Kaci Mikulski Kaci Mikulski 5'8" | CG Wildwood Catholic Academy | 2024 State NJ – 5-8 CG, Wildwood Catholic
We’ve been really impressed with Mikulski and she quickly made her presence felt with the Crusaders last season, averaging over 13.5 points a game and knocking down 64 three-pointers on the year. One of the best shooters in South Jersey, Mikulski is quick with the ball and doesn’t waste an opportunity for a look at three. Her quick, but efficient release makes it tough to defend, but having to play against her defense might be just as daunting. Keep her passing in mind this season, an emerging facilitator in the Cape.
No. 32: Amanda Baylock Amanda Baylock 5'6" | PG Scotch Plains-Fanwood | 2024 State NJ – 5-6 PG, Scotch Plains-Fanwood
Baylock is exactly the kind of well-rounded player we’re looking for out of the point guard position. Her size hasn’t been an issue when hauling in rebounds and she’s just the right combination of speed and smarts to burn opponents as a shooter or a passer. She plays with her teammates in mind and does what she can to get them involved. That five assists a game average last season portrays that perfectly. One thing is for sure, with Baylock, guarantee a few trips to the foul line a game because she is great through contact.
No. 33: Mia Lewis Mia Lewis CG Montclair Immaculate | 2024 State NJ – 5-6 CG, Lodi Immaculate
Lewis has shown a great deal of growth over her high school career and has plenty of promise as a combo guard. While showcasing her range, she’s a player who is going to make her living inside the perimeter and does a great job in her midrange game as well as in the interior. She’s more of the pure scorer type, which has worked thus far, but the summer has been where she’s addressed things like her defense and facilitating. That quickness plays a big role in her success, so we’re curious to see how that develops.
No. 34: Grace Kinum Grace Kinum PG New Providence | 2024 State NJ – PG, New Providence
Kinum put in work over the summer and really challenged herself during AAU ball. A confident scorer, but more importantly, a leader at the top of the key, she’s really progressed as a scorer and plays much more aggressively when getting near the basketball. Kinum finishes tough and put on some more muscle to be able to finish in the lane and finish through contact. She puts herself in positions to score and get her teammates involved at the same time. A great package of talent and a rising star.
No. 35: Brenae Jones Brenae Jones 6'1" | C Montclair Immaculate | 2024 State NJ – 6-0 C, Bound Brook
You can’t teach height and jones has both height and size to her advantage, a natural scorer and rebounder and just a constant presence down low. That height has contributed to nearly 120 blocks in 36 high school games played, including 3.2 blocks per game as a sophomore. As she continues to get her feet under her, the more she’ll be willing to push the envelope down on the post. Jones knows how good she can be and showed that naturally last season. She’ll continue on that path this season without a doubt.
