Kim Davis Powell and John McGraw got together to host the 2022 Show-N-Prove Showcase in Bradenton, FL at IMG Academy. The two-day event featured some of the state’s top players across the 2023-2030 classes. We were in attendance for both days and will break down the performance of the events top players. Here we look at the top performances on day 2 by the class of 2024.
Trinity Turner Trinity Turner 5'7" | CG Dr. Phillips | 2024 State FL – 5’6 Point Guard (Dr. Phillips / Essence)
Turner is dangerous with the ball in her hands. She can do it all, knock down open shots, attack off the dribble, and drop dimes for easy baskets. During the showcase, she consistently pushed the ball in transition and attacked aggressively. She is incredibly talented and confident with the ball in her hands, getting by defenders with ease, making them look like they are moving in slow motion!

Triplett is one of the top post players in the class of 2024, proving to be an effective finisher in the paint, a solid rebounder and an impactful shot blocker and using her height and length to deter shots at the rim. She moves well for her size and gets her hands on a lot of balls. She stood out in the showcase towering above her opponents and using her size and length to establish herself as one the top interior players.

Nelms is a walking double-double consistently putting up 10+ points and 10+ rebounds per game. At 6’1, she mainly plays the forward position but has guard like skills. She has excellent touch from 3, and finds the open player, creating easy scoring opportunities for her teammates, leading them to the hoop for easy baskets. Not only is she is consistent in her offensive output, she is also extremely consistent in her effort and energy, which makes her one of the state’s most complete players and top prospects.
Kalia Harrington Kalia Harrington 5'8" | SG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State FL (St. Thomas Aquinas) – 5’8 Guard
Harrington is strong, athletic, and talented. Her body is college ready, and she is equally effective on the defensive end as she is on the offensive end of the court. She is active and naturally talented who has the ability to score in a variety of ways and uses her strength and athleticism to be an effective defender and wreak havoc on opposing guards.
Emely Rodriguez (Horeb Christian) – 6’2 Wing
Rodriguez stood out as one of the showcases top prospects. She is a big guard that is very skilled on the offensive end! She has deep range, is an athletic defender, and uses her length and ballhandling skills to slip by her defenders with ease both in the half court and in transition to get into the paint. She is a natural scorer who fills up the stat sheet, scoring at the rim, knocking down open 3s, and creating scoring opportunities with her open court skills attacking off the bounce.
