Continue ReadingThe first release of PGH New Jersey’s 2026 prospect list has come out, our initial prospect watch list for the current freshman class. We have roughly 60 or so names currently listed and we intend to add in plenty more as the year progresses. With that being said, here’s a look at some of the prospects included in our initial watch list.
GiGi Battle GiGi Battle 6'0" | CG Rutgers Prep | 2026 State NJ – 5-10 CG, Rutgers Prep
Battle is one of the most highly publicized prospects from the 2026 class coming into high school in New Jersey and for good reason. We’ve been impressed by her playmaking ability thus far as well as her overall athleticism. She’s got range like crazy, but can cross an opponent up for a quick basket just as easily. That athleticism plays on the defensive side of the ball as well where she swarms opponents to cause turnovers.
Jordan Barnes Jordan Barnes 5'11" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2026 State NJ – 6-0 SF, St. Thomas Aquinas
There’s nothing else to say about Barnes right now than to say wow because that’s the impact she’s had so far at STA. Right out of the gates, posting a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Trojans, bodying opponents, getting great positioning in the lane and taking advantage of mismatches. She fits in so well into their system and plays with confidence from the jump.
Jada Lynch Jada Lynch 5'11" | SG St. Rose | 2026 State NJ – 5-11 SG, St. Rose
Lynch already has plenty of experience heading into her freshman year at St. Rose thanks to playing up a year at Philly Rise, one of the best AAU programs in the region. She has an incredibly amount of talent with her, a fantastic offensive skillset and an impressive shooter in a number of fronts. Her height, despite her being a guard, allows her to post up down low as well.
Addison Nyemchek Addison Nyemchek 6'1" | CG Red Bank Catholic | 2026 State NJ – 5-11 SG, Red Bank Catholic
Nyemchek is another tall shooting guard who can do it all on the floor and stretched the floor well overall. It seems almost unfair to have to guard her from the top of the key when she can drain a three in your face, cross you up and hit a midrange shot, or blow right by you to finish at the basket. She’s agile and nimble, exactly what RBC needs this season.
Gabrielle Vaughn Gabrielle Vaughn 5'11" | SF Camden Catholic | 2026 State NJ – 6-0 WING/SF, Camden Catholic
Vaughn operates best as a wing guard and is a fantastic two-way player, from sinking threes just about anywhere beyond the arc to being able to backtrack and get a massive defensive stop. Her height lends herself so well to making great defensive plays like a chase-down block or a deflected shot. Big plays or small, she does it all.
Jordyn Hollawell Jordyn Hollawell 5'5" | CG Manasquan | 2026 State NJ – 5-5 CG, Manasquan
Hollawell plays with such great intensity on the floor, which has shown through her AAU tape and into the start of her high school career. Somewhat on the smaller side as a guard, that really hasn’t made any difference in her play style as she’s often the first down the floor on a fast break and can make big defensive plays. She wants the ball in her hands to make a big play, regardless of where she is on the floor and we really like how much she takes ownership in that regard.
Grace Feeney Grace Feeney 6'0" | SF Trinity Hall | 2026 State NJ – 6-0 SF, Trinity Hall
It’s often said that the best shooters have the best-looking shots, the smoothest releases, picture-perfect form. Feeney fits right into that category, just an effortless shooter from beyond the arc and such great intensity inside the arc and down in the paint. She plays with her emotions on her sleeve and that height, as we’ve said time and time again, you just can’t teach it. It’s something that can help out shooters like her extend and get that extra bit of space and time to score.
