Holland Hall’s High Level Performers

She dribbles through the defense like it's a cone drill and she anticipates where her teammates will be, making it easy for her to make the right passes. Mia trusts and knows her teammates and her teammates know and trust her. She can shoot the ball well and emits confidence on both ends of the floor. Holland Hall has high level players from top to bottom - and, Mia is a player that knows what to bring to the game, every minute that she sets foot on the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='197964' first='Elise' last='Hill'] 2023: Holland Hall - I watched Elise play twice last year and I got to watch her again on Friday night; and, it is evident why she is committed to playing basketball at the Division 1 level next year. It started in warm ups - she wasn't making lazy passes, she wasn't shooting recklessly, she wasn't goofing off, she didn't "just go through warm ups" - she warmed up preparing to play! &nbsp;Elise is a player that feels the game of basketball - it comes naturally to her. Shooting - Check! Shot Selection - Check! Defense - Check! Aggressive - Check! Efficiency - Check! Rebounding - Check! Assists - Check! Good Teammate - Check! &nbsp;If there is a box that needs to be checked for an elite player, Elise checks the box! Any young athlete who wants to watch and learn what to do from start to finish, to be a next level player - should come watch Elise play! It will be exciting to see how she finishes her senior year &amp; I expect to hear her name quite a bit in the years to come.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='357390' first='Ava' last='Casper'] 2025: Holland Hall - Shooter! &nbsp;She is one of the two underclassmen on Holland Hall's team that really caught my eye. She has range so you have to guard her close because her release is quick and accurate. She runs the floor well and is prepared to shoot at all times; her form stays consistent throughout the game and she isn't flustered with the defense or a hand in her face. Ava is only a sophomore but she is already one of the better shooters that I've seen. Ava is a player to keep an eye on as the season progresses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='802000' first='Makayia' last='Johnson'] 2025: Holland Hall - Makayia plays defense like it's her assignment to get the ball back for her team. She was locked in every time the ball was in her opponents' hands. She moves well laterally and knows how to cut off the line - to force the ball handler to turn or pick up the ball. But, defense isn't all she excels at - she can score, too! 3's, jump shots and finishes at the rim - she can do all of that &amp; makes it look easy. Holland Hall is a must watch team!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
