The early season action is heating up here in Michigan. The teams and players have been impressive to say the least. Let's take a closer look at some players that stood out to me from an East Grand Rapids win against Zeeland West and a Novi victory over Birmingham Groves.

Jordan Popyk

State: Michigan
School: Novi

I’ve always been a really big fan of Popyk’s game and she proved herself to me once again in her team’s win over Birmingham Groves. She used her length effectively in the game, both going up and after the ball off the rim and enveloping the offensive player when she was playing defense. Popyk showed that she could put the ball on the floor, cover a lot of ground with minimal dribbles, and finish at the rim.
