She plays good defense, using her length to block opponents shots, she can also rebound and push the break, she is having a good year as of now.
Candace Kpetikou Candace Kpetikou 6'3" | C Saint Josephs | 2023 State CA – Candance is putting in major work in the paint and is one of the biggest girls in the class which is why we understand the Washington State commmit. She is tough to defend in the paint, she is skilled down low with either hand, she can even use a jump hook. We watch her turn around fall away at the basket and her seals are hard and unstoppable in the paint even thru the double team. She is a walking double-double….
Crystal Wang Crystal Wang 6'1" | C Sierra Canyon | 2023 State CA – Wang is a big forward who can play some small-ball five and stretch the floor with her three-point shooting. She can face up and put the ball on the floor to get to the rim, but she could work on being able to finish stronger in traffic. She has solid handles for a player her size and she’s able to bring the ball up court and handle the ball in transition. Likes to drive along the baseline. She also moves very well without the ball and makes strong off-ball cuts along the baseline.
Makiah Asidanya Makiah Asidanya 5'7" | PG Selesian Colleg Prep | 2023 State CA – Makiah knows how to setup her teammates to get buckets really easy, she is skilled with the handle of the rock, she is crafty and she is quick and shifty. We loved watching her break down the defense and either kick to a shooter or finish the layup or floater herself.
Nyah Lowery Nyah Lowery 5'11" | SG St Marys Stockton | 2023 State CA – Nyah can really score the ball, she comes into this season as a highly heralded player, signing with Pacific to play D1. She comes from a basketball family and she really knows how to play the game, she has now formed her game into what we call a complete player or DIA player. She is a really good talent and much deserved all she is receiving.
Madison Huhn Madison Huhn 5'8" | SG Carlsbad | 2023 State CA – A Miami University (OH) commit, Huhn stood out as a good long-range shooter, especially from the top of the arc. She can score with the ball in her hands or playing off-ball. Good catch and shoot player who is always in motion. She uses screens well to get free for a jumper. She can handle the ball a little bit in the halfcourt and hit pull-up jumpers off the dribble.
Ava Uhrich Ava Uhrich 6'0" | SG Pinewood | 2023 State CA – Uhrich is a true post player. She has good size and makes strong moves off the dribble from the mid-post area. She can draw contact at the rim and shoots free-throws at a solid clip. Moves without the ball making baseline cuts. Runs the floor well. She follows misses and does a good job crashing the glass. Defensively, she has the quickness and ability to stay in front of ball-handlers on the perimeter.
