The Sandia Matadors will host the Albuquerque Bulldogs on Tuesday Night at home. Both teams come into this game undefeated; Sandia at 2-0 and Albuquerque at 4-0. It will be the Bulldogs Star Senior Duo of [player_tooltip player_id='353909' first='Leilani' last='Love'] and [player_tooltip player_id='353911' first='Ariana' last='Sanchez'] vs the Matadors Big Three of [player_tooltip player_id='391103' first='Sydney' last='Benally'], [player_tooltip player_id='391104' first='Hope' last='Giddings'] and [player_tooltip player_id='391109' first='Audriana' last='Wright'].
Volcano Vista vs La Cueva at 7:30pm

This will be a matchup between two 5A powerhouses in an early season matchup between the Volcano Vista Hawks and the La Cueva Bears. This will be a fun game to watch between two teams that faced off quite bit last season. All attention will be on the top two players in the 2024 Class; [player_tooltip player_id='357673' first='Eva' last='Love'] from La Cueva and [player_tooltip player_id='357657' first='Taejhuan' last='Hill'] from Volcano Vista. Despite playing different positions, they both impact the game differently for their respective teams. This matchup could also be setting up another playoff preview down the road. With those two getting a lot of the attention, keep your eyes on their teammates like [player_tooltip player_id='459605' first='Alexis' last='Ayers'] who is a tough and tenacious Point Guard for La Cueva, sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='459603' first='Olivia' last='Haddock'], freshman Jordyn Dyer and Senior [player_tooltip player_id='459604' first='Karleigh' last='Gutierrez']. For The Hawks, [player_tooltip player_id='391323' first='Mila' last='Espinoza'] has been on a roll lately and leads the Hawks in scoring this season averaging 19.5 points per game.
