I will be taking a look all season for the top performances as the season progresses. Here’s just a handful of top performances I have watched live, been sent by the player, or seen on Twitter. There are MANY other players who have stood out that I missed as well. Here’s some of Devin’s Standouts!
Vida had a GREAT performance against Franklin HS. The junior showed off her defensive ability and scored well on the offensive side to help out the team. She finished with 15 points, 7 blocks, and 2 steals. Her defensive presence was known and will be known all season long.
Highlights
Kaleo Anderson
Kaleo Anderson
Kaleo is one of the top freshman in the state, in my eyes. She has a very complete game. She can score at all three levels, pass the ball well, rebound the ball well, and play effective defense. She displayed her talents against Sultan HS when she had 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists on the day. She is going to cause opposing teams a lot of havoc over the next 4 seasons.
Ava Marr
Ava Marr
Going against a very tough Nooksack Valley team and going against one of the top 2024 players in Devin Coppinger Devin Coppinger 5’10” | CG Nooksack Valley | 2024 State WA , Ava stepped up like she always does for her team. She contributed 24 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals on the defensive side. Marr is a player who I personally think took a big jump over the past summer. She’s starting the season off to a hot start.
Grace Hintz
Grace Hintz
Grace is already one of the best players in the Northwest Conference and she’s only a sophomore. Last year as a freshman, she contributed in big ways to a team who won the 1A state championship. They are a bit of a different team, but Hintz is off to s great start leading them. Against Burtlington-Edison, she dropped 27 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and even had 5 steals during the game. I guarantee this won’t be the last time she’s on this list.
She’s not an underclassman, but needed to be included in this article. Already a top 5 player in her class within the state and already committed to play at Washington State University next year, Jenna is just having fun her senior year in hopes to end her career with holding the state title trophy. Arlington had a big win over Cedarcrest where Jenna dropped 31 points including a staggering 8 three pointers on the night. She’s going to have a FANTASTIC senior year.
