Olivia Olson Olivia Olson 5'8" | PG Cuba City | 2025 State WI
In a matchup with Iowa school Denver, Olson dominated. The Cyclone defense had no answer for Olson, and she did her thing early and often. In only 21 minutes, Olson racked up 19 points, five assists, three rebounds, and three steals. The sophomore made a name for herself last season after an outstanding playoff performance against Aquinas, which saw Cuba City nearly knock off the traditional power. Olson is a name to know in the 2025 class.
Maddie Reott
I’m not sure if Reott is a kid who wants to play college or choose a different sport, but if you had any doubt she could play college ball, a 27-point night to carry Stoughton to win should help you make up your mind. Reott is an extraordinary athlete and plays with a competitive edge that shows itself positively on the floor. She’s an under-the-radar kid but one of my favorites in the Madison area.
Jaden Ciesielczyk Jaden Ciesielczyk 5'8" | CG De Pere | 2025 State WI
De Pere has no starters from last season’s sectional champions. However, they currently find themselves 3-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. Last Saturday, in a non-conference game, Ciesielcyzk poured in 19 points to carry the Redbirds over West Bend East. Although this group will be better next season, their young talent battling the way they have is admirable. This team could be sneaky contenders next season after the experience their young players are gaining this season.
Reese Jaramillo Reese Jaramillo 5'9" | SG Prairie | 2024 State WI
The two names most people will think of when they think of The Prairie School are JJ Glass-Barnes JJ Glass-Barnes 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI and Meg Decker Meg Decker 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI . However, Jaramillo could be the x-factor in the Hawks’ playoff run. Her ability to space the floor was on full display on Saturday, as she knocked down five 3-pointers. In a playoff game when teams are trying to slow down Decker and Glass-Barnes, don’t be surprised if Jaramillo’s shooting wins them a game or two.
Payton Morgan Payton Morgan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI
In the biggest D4 game so far this season, between D4 runner-ups Laconia and now D4 and reigning D5 champions Randolph, Morgan was the difference. These two will likely meet in a Sectional Semifinal, and some may say that Thursday’s matchup could be a defacto state title game. In the rehearsal for that game, Morgan scored 25 points, making seven 3-pointers in a statement win for the Spartans.
