I talked about some kids who could score the ball yesterday. Today I want to talk about some kids who can create offense for others. There are plenty of creative forces that I could talk about, but I narrowed it down to four for today.

[player_tooltip player_id='156080' first='Abby' last='Thompson']

The Blair-Taylor guard has been one of the most intriguing statistical cases over the past two seasons. She leads the state in assists and is seventh in Wisconsin in steals. Thompson is a guard that likes to be amongst the action, has an excellent basketball IQ, and has a nose for the ball. It also helps that she's scoring an efficient 17 points per contest on top of everything else she already does for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='209909' first='Samantha' last='Schmitt']

In Wisconsin, there are some blue-chip point guard prospects, and Schmitt may not fit that category, but I enjoy watching her more than some of the best lead guards in the region. Schmitt is a natural leader and gets more joy from watching her teammates succeed. Her teammates respond to her and know that if they get open, their point guard will get them the ball, and seeing that in person is unique because there is a small population of lead guards who I can say that about and mean it.

[player_tooltip player_id='342104' first='Brianna' last='McCurdy']

The St. Croix Falls guard might be one of Wisconsin's best-kept secrets. McCurdy can win a game with her scoring as she did in the sectional finals last year to send the Saints to their first state tournament ever and by creating for her teammates. She's someone who has confidence that you can feel without knowing her. McCurdy isn't afraid of anyone who lines up in front of her, and you can see it with her mannerisms, she looks kids in the face and blows by them, shoot over them, and fires pass by their ears.

[player_tooltip player_id='206731' first='Lily' last='Truchon']

In the smallest school in Wisconsin, Truchon has built up a legacy for herself. She is one of the most productive kids in the state and has been for the past two seasons. However, the Stevens Point commit has been more of a creator than she was a year ago, and her teammate [player_tooltip player_id='444792' first='Emily' last='Montgomery'] has benefitted from the slight change in her game. Those two have goals of playing in the Resch Center this season and are willing to change what worked last season to get over the hump and take the floor in Green Bay this March.
