2025 Rankings 5 Forwards/Centers

The prep Hoops staff recently released the updated 2025 rankings. Here we look at 5 Forwards/Centers.

Isys Dunphy Isys Dunphy 5'10" | PF Barrington | 2025 State NewE , Position PF, HT 5’10, High School Barrington

Isys is an impact player on the defensive side of the floor. She may not be the biggest player for her position, but she makes up for it with her athleticism, and mobility. She has a very high motor, and plays with great energy. She fights hard through screens, and can guard multiple positions. She is also able to control the glass on offense and defense.

Evi Higgins Evi Higgins 5'11" | PF Berkshire | 2025 State NewE , Position PF, HT 6’0, High School Berkshire,

I think Higgins has a high ceiling. She is a 6’0 forward, with a strong inside and out game. She is a slasher on the wing, and can knock down three point shots constantly. She also has good ball fakes, and can score in the inside. A versatile big, who has a good skill set to match her size.

Izzy Orlando Izzy Orlando 5'11" | PF Freeport | 2025 State NewE , Position PF, HT 5’11, High School Freeport,

Izzy is a high motor stretch forward. She can get to the basket and attack down hill. She does a good job going into the contact and drawing fouls. She has a good mix of an inside out game, and also fights hard on the rebounds. The 6’0 forward has lots of potential with her game.

Lily Sokol, High School Middletown, Position SF, HT 6’0

Lily can control the game with her scoring. She is 6’0 and can play multiple positions. She plays so smooth for her size. She can get to the rim, and has a smooth pull up jump shot. She can also facility well, and makes good passes. She is a high level playmaker with a high ceiling.

Amber Furtado Amber Furtado 6'2" | PF Ethel Walker | 2025 State NewE , High School Ethel Walker, Position PF, HT 6’2

Amber might not be the quickest player, but she is definitely one of the more skilled 6’2 bigs I have seen. She has great footwork, and a variety of finishing moves in the post. She has a soft touch around the rim. Amber has a soft hook shot, a good drop step, a very effective shot fake, and ball fake, and a very good spin move. Definitely lots of potential with Ambers game.
