Blyss Miller | Guard | Cabot | 2024

Blyss was selected as the player of the game. She put up 18 points to lead her team to victory. Blyss had an impact on the game immediately after the opening tip by scoring on a lay-up. Offensively, Blyss did a good job of finding the areas to be a threat. Whether it was an offensive rebound, getting a loose ball, or sneaking behind they defense, Blyss did a good job of being able to score efficiently. She attacked off the dribble and showed she could finish with good footwork, got out in transition, and played solid defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='304738' first='Laylah' last='Reese'] | Foward | Cabot | 2023

Laylah dominated the paint. Just about every basketball that came off the rim she got. She did a really good job of using her athletic ability to get position and aggressively go after every rebound. Laylah did more than just rebound, she also could push the ball in transition, move well without the ball in the half-court, slash to the basket, finish through contact, make plays for others, and was a good defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='420389' first='Jenna' last='Cook'] | Point Guard | Cabot | 2024

Jenna is a high IQ player that looks to make the right play at the right time. She pushed the ball well in transition, always looking to pass ahead to the wing player. Jenna could also run the team in the half-court. She kept them organized and the offense flowing. When the opportunity presented itself she would attack off the dribble and show off the variety of ways she could finish at the rim. Jenna could also attack off the catch and knockdown the mid-range pull-up jumper or the catch and shoot three.

Lauren Lain | Forward | Bryant | 2023

Lauren is a forward that can operate out of the high post or play on the wing. When she was successful at the high post she did a great job of being patient. She could execute a pivot and attack without traveling and finish at the rim with either hand or shoot the short jumper with touch. When on the wing she could drive in a straight line or spot up and shoot the three. Lauren's athleticism also allowed her to rebound the ball, run the floor, and play good defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='304692' first='Brilynn' last='Findley'] | Point Guard | Bryant | 2024

Brilynn is a solid point guard with lots of potential. She has the athleticism to keep the defense off balance when she combines changing speeds with changing directions. Once she got her shoulders downhill it was tough for her defender to do anything with her. She could finish in a number of ways with either hand at the rim and through contact. Brilynn has a nice shooting stroke that extends out past the three-point line. She also showed good vision in transition when she pushed the ball down the court and teammates for open shots.
