2023 6'0 W [player_tooltip player_id='412298' first='Caroline' last='Thiel'] (Rocky Mount) vs Southern Nash

2023 6'0 W Carolina Thiel did a fantastic job being a threat off the ball finishing 11-15 (73%) from the floor. She moved well, found the openings in the zone, and came off screens ready to be a threat. Her defensive effort was noticeable from the start, finding opportunities in the press to pressure the ball handler or play the passing lanes for easy steals and deflections. She keeps it simple while consistently making the right play by not forcing many bad shots or passes. Loved her activity on the offensive glass collecting 3 offensive rounds and 7 in total for the game.

2025 5'10 G [player_tooltip player_id='285951' first='Gabby' last='White'] (Seaforth) vs Grace Christian

5'10 Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='285951' first='Gabby' last='White'] (Seaforth HS) plays the guard position at a high level and will have a bright future. With her feel for the game, skill, and size, she is a match up problem all over the floor. She has a good understanding of the game knowing when to get others involved or when she is the best option. She assisted on a few of her teammates baskets, got to the rim early and finished. She hit a few outside shots off the dribble, but made it a focus to get downhill and covert at the line. Gabby is active on the defensive boards and does a good job getting her team much needed points in transition.

2023 5'1 PG Jermia Walker (Southern Nash) vs Rocky Mount

2023 5'1 PG Jermia Walker is one player who deserves to be talked about more. Coming into the match up against Rocky Mount averaging 16 points, 5 assist, 8 rebounds and 5 steals per game. Plays with a ton of heart on both sides of the floor. Her on ball defense and ability to rebound with her height only displays a fraction of how hard she plays and the impact she makes on the game. Quick with the ball, it's hard for defenders to keep her in front as she continued to find ways to the basket and free throw line throughout the whole game. She has a good IQ and knows when to go all the way or make the correct pass to the open teammate when attacking. A skilled point guard, despite her size she has the moves and body control to find ways through traffic and finish through contact.
