Here’s just a handful of top performances by juniors only I have watched live, been sent by the player, or seen on Twitter. There are MANY other players who have stood out that I missed as well. Here’s some more of Devin’s Standouts!
Alana Stephens
Alana Stephens
Even with Hudson’s Bay taking home 6th place last year in the state tournament, their first trophy ever too, people still their questions. They lost a couple key pieces but they have has many players step up for them, especially Alana Stephens. She’s a great shooter and gets to the bucket nicely. She scored 22 points against RA Long and could have more 20 pieces in her future.
For the record, she is a top 10-15 player within the 2024 class, easily. She dominates on the high school scene, she dominates on the AAU scene, and soon she will dominate the college basketball scene. She scores at all 3 levels with ease, being insanely effective off almost any situation whether it is off ball or on ball. She only played 18 minutes against Lakewood, due to a big win, but she still managed to drop 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals during her time on the court. Very impressive.
Jazmyn has gone under the radar quite a bit in my eyes. She’s a dominant force on the glass, rebounding the ball very well. She also has a plethora of post moves she can use down low, leading to effective shots and buckets. Against Bethell, she scored 11 points and pulled down a huge 17 rebounds.
Highlights
Lucy has been playing very efficient for West Seattle. She’s quick on the court and plays stellar defense. Her speed results in quite a few steals which lead to fast break points for her or her teammates. She’s still growing, might hit 6’0″ by the end of the year / beginning of next year. Her game is evolving in a great way. Against Garfield she had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals on the night.
