This is a player that should be known around the state. She is a combination of skill and size that are rare. She is tough on the block and when she gets it she knows what to do with it. She moves well and there aren’t many players stronger than she is. She has good hands and rarely looses the ball once she gets it. She finishes strong in the paint. She rebounds and makes good outlet passes. Not many teams have an answer for her in the low post which has shown up lately in the box score with double doubles.
An athletic player with lots of length. She uses that length to be an excellent shot blocker. She is quick enough to follow the ball and her timing is great. She is an active player with a huge upside. Her ability to defend multiple spots and change or block shots is game changing type talent. She has some of the best raw skills I have seen for her size. As a freshman, she leaves a lot to like when you watch her play. There is next level talent here. She is a big factor in Kamiakin’s success this year.
A solid floor leader who doesn’t play like a freshman. She has a all the skills you want in a guard and plays with a lot of confidence. She is a good three point shooter with at least 20 made so far this season and a decent percentage. She isn’t one of the main scoring options but she is a capable scorer. Chiawana is young and talented led by a couple sophomore players who I have written about in an earlier article. Look out in years to come.
She has had a solid season so far. She is s a tough player who contributes in a lot of ways. She is a good rebounder and has enough athletic ability to go get rebounds and steals. She moves her feet well for a post player and is a good team defender. She has had some double double games on a good team in Class 1A. She can score in the paint with her strength and size, whether it be on a post feed or put backs from offensive rebounds.
