The weekend of the MLK holiday I attended the Grind Session stop in Atlanta Georgia for the King Classic. I was able to watch the girls programs that participated.

In this article we take a look at some of the Arizona standouts of this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='261400' first='Kiley' last='Sours Miller'] Dream City Christian

A vocal player who plays with intensity and it's contagious. She was a monster on the boards and knows how to use her body. She ran the floor very well and knows how to seal the defender when she gets to where she's going.

[player_tooltip player_id='588386' first='Caia' last='Campbell'] PHH Prep

There's a lot to like about Campbell. The lefty showed a good touch from the perimeter. She's smart, tough, and the glue that holds the team together. One of the top 2027 players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='588549' first='Adeang' last='Ring'] Bella Vista Prep

Ring showed the ability to be an effective stretch 4 at the next level. Obviously her height was the first thing you noticed but she wasn't afraid to bring the opposing teams post player out to the three point line. She shot it with confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='205653' first='Ysabel' last='Puente'] Dream City Christian

A quick point guard who was scrappy and not afraid to get in and mix it up with the bigger players. She has a tight handle and can shoot if from the outside.

[player_tooltip player_id='205662' first='Katelyn' last='Best'] PHH Prep

Best displayed soft hands in the post and did a good job of keeping the ball high. Unlike a lot of young players she stayed long on both offense and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='588550' first='Jyah' last='LoVett'] Bella Vista Prep

A big scorer from the guard spot. She is a blur in the open floor and showed a very good step back jumper. She's as tough as you'll find around as she didn't back down from the opposition. Jyah is an excellent rebounder despite being a smaller guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='588408' first='Nykyah' last='Williams'] PHH Prep

The diminutive point guard is lightning quick and a one person press breaker. She has a quick release on her outside shot. She will only get better since she is a 2025 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='59785' first='Adelyn' last='Walker'] Bella Vista Prep

Walker showed a excellent motor and played bigger than her size. A true stat filler as Adelyn contributed on offense and defense. She's a menace on defense as she locked down whoever she guarded.

[player_tooltip player_id='588387' first='Makailya' last='Betner'] PHH Prep

A scrappy player who displayed excellent on the ball defense. She is very tough and a lot of things that she did to impact the game didn't show up in the stat sheet.

[player_tooltip player_id='588554' first='Emma' last='Slack'] Dream City Christian

A 9th grader playing up showed flashes of her potential. She understands spacing and has a beautiful shot. On defense she showed active hands and good instincts. Definitely one to watch in the 2026 class.
