It was a very talented field of teams and players at the NIT with Park Hill South defeated host Nixa in the championship game. Republic defeated Cape Notre Dame in the third-place game.
Regan Williams Regan Williams 6'2" | SF Link Academy | 2024 State MO (Park Hill South): The 6’2″ 2024 forward was impressive in the championship game with her length and activity. She was making excellent plays from the high post where she could pass the ball and drive to the basket. She was excellent on defense where she used her footwork and anticipation to steal multiple entry passes into the low post. She also did a good job of making her free throw.
Norah Clark (Nixa): The 6’0″ 2025 forward had some impressive moves inside in the championship game against a Park Hill South team that had four 6-footers. Her footwork was very good as she displayed a nice up and under move. She could also drive it from the perimeter and score in the lane. She also threaded the needle with some nice interior passing.
Avery Simmons Avery Simmons 6'0" | CG Park Hill South | 2024 State MO (Park Hill South): A 6’0″ 2024 forward who plays with a lot of energy and activity. She was attacking the basket well and rebounding at a high rate. She made a number of hustle plays to go along with her versatile skill set. She moves well without the ball with hard cutting ability.
Alyssa Joyner Alyssa Joyner 6'2" | PF West Plains | 2024 State MO (West Plains): A versatile 6’1″ 2024 forward who could set up shop in the low post to get things done or bring the ball up to facilitate the offense from the point. Her rhythm move off the dribble was the spin move in the lane where she could shoot the ball over a smaller defender. She was a big matchup problem with her height and overall skill set.
Tori Rubel Tori Rubel 6'1" | SF Cape Notre Dame | 2023 State MO (Cape Notre Dame): The 6’1″ 2023 Tennessee-Martin recruit displayed her good overall skill set. She had some good moves in the low post and she could also handle the ball and make plays off the dribble. She could also stretch the floor with her 3-point shooting range.
Allison Jones (Nixa): A 2023 forward who really had some very positive moments in the first quarter of the championship game. She caught the ball from the high post and swished a 15-footer. She also hit a turnaround jumper in the lane and scored on a nice drive to the basket.
Neveah Lucious (Cape Notre Dame): A 6’2″ 2026 forward who has a very bright future. She utilized her size and strength well inside as she scored in the post with drop steps and the ability to use either hand. Her footwork was very good in the post. She also stepped out and hit the 15 footer off the catch. She can also rebound and defend the post and block shots.
Alaina Norman (Republic): A 5’11” 2024 forward who displayed a nice shooting touch in the post as well as from the 15-foot area where she can catch and face the basket. She is very mobile and very active at both ends of the court. She would make a quick flash post in the lane to get open. On defense, she got into the passing lanes to get steals.
Tatum Kells (Park Hill South): A 6’0″ 2023 forward who does a very solid job of holding down the inside for South, who won the tournament championship. She had a strong presence on the defensive end as she used her size and good positioning. She blocked a couple of shots inside. She posted up strong on offense and displayed a nice shooting touch.
