Running with the club's 16U Rashid team Brown caught my eye initially as smart, half court defender adept at jumping passing lanes. She also effectively ran breaks and finish them with quickness. Knocking down mid-range jumpers also are in her reperatoir.

MoKan 16U Sauter's Colter was clearly the top performing point guard in the division. Fast, athletic, quick and possessing strong handles she exploited seams in half court defenses; found open shooters on kick-outs or extended through finishes; and knocked down the occasional three ball. Even at the top of full-court pressure she had an ability to accelerate into space.

The Free State sophomore was a steady presence running the point. She showed quality handles working against full court pressure, an ability to push tempo when warranted and generally played in control. In addition to showing scoring ability against a challenger she showed range on her three point shot.

I found a lot to like about Owens' game as she ran with her 16U Rashid team. Blessed with a solid frame and good footwork she set herself up well for shots and used both effectively working from a solid 'pistols' position off the ball. Sagging into the lane she helped well on ball side baseline drives and picked off passes to the weak side corner. Opponents should her respect her perimeter jumper.

Smith is a talent I was pleased to see again after many months. Fluid, athletic and lengthy she brought a great deal of skill to the floor for the MoKan 16U Sauter squad. A dual threat from the perimeter she is as likely to bury a three as she is to attack the basket. One great moment was an up-fake from the right corner to blow by a defender baseline that turned into a long striding bank shot as she glided by a second defender. She showed quality hands on the receiving end of the pick and roll smarts defensively in a variety of situations.
