Take a look at Part 1 below!
Samaira Searcy
Samaira Searcy
Searcy is an exciting young guard with a bright basketball future. In fact, I would expect to see her ranked when the first Michigan 2026 rankings are released. She has quick feet and does a great job finding shots around the rim. Searcy is athletic in the open floor and could be labeled as a playmaker.
Ava Myers
Ava Myers
The honest truth, I’d never heard of Myers before this game. After the game, I’m now hoping she makes a stop at the PGH Top 250 next fall. She had 2 steals in the backcourt that she turned into fastbreaks and buckets. I was impressed with her straight line speed with the ball in her hands. Once she broke away off those turnovers, she beat the defense back and it was game over. She’s now a freshman on my radar.
Against Maple Valley, Allen showed that she can be a dangerous shooter. She looked especially comfortable off the catch and shoot. Allen did a great job finding open space on the perimeter and staying pass ready. She caught the ball cleanly and was confident in her stroke. Allen has expanded her game and has been a terrific passer this season. She’s seeing plays develop and feeding shooters in their shooting pocket.
Highlights
Brewer once again displayed a nice combination of strength and shooting skills. I really think that she can use this at the next level and it adds to her upside. Brewer hit 3 triples in the game. In a 36-24 defensive slugfest, having a shooter like Brewer is so important and it was key in Ann Arbor Pioneer’s victory. She’s going to be critical to her team’s success throughout this season.
