Take a look at Peek At Players Part 1 and Part 2 below!
Johnson was impressive when I saw her play. She showed an elite understanding of the game. Johnson knew how to use and how to work off a downscreen. She got open, used good footwork, and got set for the shot. That was just 1 of a couple catch and shoot triples that she had on the night.
Weaver stepped up when her team needed her to. With their star player in foul trouble early, it was Weaver that rose to the occasion. She finished with an 11 point and 13 rebound double-double. Those boards were especially important against a free flowing offense like Renaisance’s.
Espanol was terrific in her team’s victory against East Grand Rapids. Ignore that number next to her name, that will be fixed by a couple hundred spots in due time. She showed quick hands and anticipation defensively. Espanol utilized defensive positioning and made life difficult for her opponents. She played really well coming off screens and shot the ball purely and confidently off catch and shoots from behind the arc.
Chapman is moving up the ranks in the class of 2025. She can put up chunks of points. As if dropping 28 in early December wasn’t enough, she had a recent 26 point and 25 rebound performance. That’s like a double double-double. Not to mention that she also added 4 assists and 4 steals. Chapman can score athletically, has a solid jumper, and uses her pivot foot to create looks under the rim.

Madison Yeager
Yeager had a very impressive outing, even in defeat against Genesee Christian. She created high percentage fast break buckets by creating turnovers and taking them the length of the floor. Yeager showed the ability to strike from deep, hitting 2 catch and shoot triples from the left corner and a catch and shoot 3 from the top.
