Mayflower was looking to defend home court and stay in the conference race. The junior guard put up 24 pts with 2 made three-pointers and 8-10 from the free-throw line. She attacked the defense hard off the dribble and she got out in transition for finishes at the rim or open three-pointers. Her 12pts in the 4th quarter helped hold off a Perryville team that battled until the end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='402862' first='Riley' last='Whittington'] | Point Guard | Mayflower | 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Riley really knows how to push the tempo for her team. Doesn't matter if it's off a rebound or a make. When she receives the pass she is off to the races. Riley can finish in the paint, knock down the open three and get her teammates involved with her penetration. Riley is also a solid on-ball defender that plays the angles well and forces the offense to take tough shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='403854' first='Kiki' last='Williamson'] | Forward | Mayflower | 2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kiki is a nice prospect that can play multiple positions. Her team mainly had her at the high post, but she was very effective. When she received the pass at the high post, she didn't panic when multiple defenders converted on her. She was able to attack, slash, and finish at the rim. Kiki ran the floor well and was able to finish in transition. Her handle and pace with the basketball has gotten better since the summer. She showed her ability to break down the defense and make plays for her teammates. Kate got into the lane off the dribble and was able to finish over multiple defenders. She also has a respectable jumper that allows her to shoot with confidence when she is left open.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Reagan Henderson | Wing | Perryville | 2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reagan is quiet player that may not score in bunches or do anything fancy, but she will be effective. She can attack off the dribble, shoot the mid-range jumper, and she's sneaky. You have to keep a body on her or she will sneak around the basket and get easy points whether off the offensive rebound or cuts to the basket.
