The Sloan-Hendrix Lady Greyhounds and the Quitman Lady Bulldogs meet in the 2A title game. Both teams are loaded with talent, but these players could particularly stand out for each squad. Who will win on Thursday in Hot Springs? We shall soon find out.

[player_tooltip player_id='900706' first='Alexis' last='Davis'] has been Sloan-Hendrix's catalyst in the postseason, especially with that great performance against Southside Bee Branch to propel them to the championship.

In that game, Davis had 28 points, which is not long after eclipsing 1,000 points for her career (which she will continue to add to). Davis also had some other impressive showings throughout the regular season, including her 19-point, 5-rebound, 7-assist, 4-steal outing against Crowley's Ridge Academy back in December. A month before, the junior showed off her playmaking skills against Mammoth Spring, dishing out 11 assists in addition to her 21 points.

Davis can clearly score the ball. She shoots the ball well from outside, both off the catch and the dribble. She has a quick release but is also quick when it comes to putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. As those other stat lines will show, Davis can make plays for others as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='900706' first='Alexis' last='Davis'] has a prime opportunity to shine in this game and put the state on notice. With that in mind, Quitman may want to take a look at their gameplan a couple more times just to see if they can somehow find a way to slow her down.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118018' first='Rylee' last='Brown'] has certainly looked like a star at times this season. Though only a sophomore, Brown is going to be one of the biggest names in 2A before you know it.

Against an always-tough Marked Tree squad in December, Brown put up 14 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, and 3 stocks, showing off her abilities on both sides of the ball.

Brown is great when it comes to attacking downhill. She fights off defenders for shots inside, and she does a nice job of using the backboard as a friend and finishing with both hands. The sophomore can also knock down some jumpers, especially from mid-range, which I think is an underrated part of her game, in addition to her solid playmaking ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1118018' first='Rylee' last='Brown'] has shown that she can not only impact the game on both sides of the ball but also in just about every aspect of the game.

Most championship games feature at least one post player who will sometimes single-handedly decide the outcome of the game. [player_tooltip player_id='899568' first='Kaylee' last='Jines'] could very well be that player for the Lady Greyhounds.

Against Riverside to advance in the tournament, Jines put up a solid 14 points. During the regular season, she proved just how impactful a player she can be offensively. Against Marked Tree in December, Jines put up 25 points in a 10-point win.

Jines scores well on the interior. She can finish with the best of them and embraces contact. Her ability to play through physicality helps her make plays on the defensive end and on the backboards. You also can't forget about Jines' touch around the rim, which adds to her ability to score in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='899568' first='Kaylee' last='Jines'] will certainly be a deciding factor in this game, so you'd better keep an eye out for #10.

Quitman got so close to the championship last season after a dominant regular season. Though they fell short, Sara Dixon finally has a chance to bring a title back home on Thursday.

Dixon went off against Barton to pull them ahead and advance to the title. She put up 28 points, with 16 coming in the first half. Earlier in the regular season, Dixon had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks against 5A Sylvan Hills while going 4/4 from three.

I will say this: Dixon is one of the few star players who can comfortably sit back and let her teammates carry the load at times (which says a lot about the talent around her). When looking at old box scores from this season, Dixon has a lot of modest scoring performances, but when the games get tight, she comes alive thanks to her deadly outside shooting and tough drives.

Regardless of what happens in this game, Sara Dixon will have prospects of playing at the next level. She was offered by North Central earlier this month, and I would imagine she will receive more offers very soon, especially if they win this game.

Because Quitman is so deep, so many different players come in and make plays. Usually, a different player each contest. One of those players is [player_tooltip player_id='1209067' first='Madilyn' last='Varvil'], who has emerged as a trustworthy scorer for this well-rounded Lady Bulldog squad.

In the 2A-3 regional semis, Varvil had a solid 12 points to help Quitman advance. In the first round of the conference tournament, she had another solid outing, putting up 10 points. But without a doubt, one of her best performances of the year was against Clinton, where she had 22 points (16 in the first half).

Scoring is not Varvil's best attribute. Throughout the year, the junior has been the team leader in assists, steals, and deflections. Though she has a good outside shot, doing the other things that help her team grind out a victory will serve her well in the state title game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1209067' first='Madilyn' last='Varvil'] has the potential to put up 15+ points, but she also could score 7, and she is still going to do whatever is necessary for her team to pull out the victory.

Like Varvil, [player_tooltip player_id='1245002' first='Paislee' last='Davis'] is one of those players who has the potential to pop off and have a massive offensive performance. She may also take a backseat scoring-wise and still be able to impact the team.

This season on offense, Davis was at her best against St. Joseph in January, even against good opposing bigs. The junior logged 22 points in that contest, which was after a 10-point outing against Conway Christian and a 12-point game versus White County Central.

Once Davis puts the ball on the floor, all bets are off for the opposition. She has the ability to knock down floaters, get inside for a layup, or draw a foul. However, if the defense cuts off her driving lane, she can simply pull up for a shot from beyond the arc, especially along the wings or corners. Davis is also an active player in transition, scoring a lot of her points in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1245002' first='Paislee' last='Davis'] could be an x-factor in this game for Quitman, and honestly, I can't wait to find out who will be the catalyst for the Lady Bulldogs.
