Stemmer is the real deal as a basketball player and prospect. She showed against Dexter that she can go off at any time. Stemmer really turned it up in the 2nd half of that game. While she’s always impressive offensively, it was her defense that really caught my eye. She created multiple turnovers, but that was just the start. Stemmer extended her defense well beyond the 3 point line and pushed the Dexter offense out of their comfort zone. She was simply all over the backcourt defensively.
I’ve had the privalege of watching Blumberg a couple time this season and she always seems to impress. She was very good defensively, consistently challenging shooters and even creating a turnover or 2. Blumberg handled the ball well and was able to create plays off the bounce. In one instance, she drove the lane and finished a pretty scoop and score. She was also able to attack from the baseline and draw contact.
Wiegers put her game on display against Stoney Creek. She showed some real offensive versatility in her skills. She kicked things off with a pretty catch and shoot triple. She then showed that she could cut to the rim, catch the pass, and score the basketball. Later in the Wiegers had a very athletic take to the rim and finish.
LaPrairie has been playing really good basketball for some time now. She led her team in scoring and was able to do it in a variety of ways. LaPrairie flaunted the 3 point range on her jumper. She looked very comfortable working left to right and had a very pretty swooping drive that she finished for 2 points. LaPrairie even looked solid in her mid range game, where she was able to hit a baseline jumper.
Carson caught my eye with her grassroots play this summer and did it once again in a tight loss to Lake Orion. Today it started with her shooting. This was as confident and as pure as I’ve seen her jumper look. Carson even showed some touch with a pretty floater that she connected on for 2 points.

Anna Hesse
Hesse had a really good game and definitely can have a very important role on this team. I really liked the way she stayed active on defense and liked her horizontal movement and ability to slide across the lane and help on defense. Hesse was very active on the glass as well.
