put on an offensive show Wednesday in the regional final for Stoney Creek. Her 32 points lifted the Cougars to their first Regional title in program history. Sarah used a hesitation dribble then finished through contact over a towering forward. The ball appeared to be on a string as she comfortably created space off the dribble and pulled up multiple times from well beyond the 3 point line: there’s not many shooters who are hitting shots accurately from that range. Sarah was in the zone hitting free throws, converting contested shots around the rim, and pulling up with ease outside. She will look to lead her team to victory in the quarterfinal Tuesday.

. She finished the game with 18 points and 5 rebounds. LaPrairie’s offensive combination of gritty buckets and smooth shooting is a show to see. That offensive grittiness carried through to the defensive end as well last night.

LaPrairie looks like she’s picking up right where she left off in high school season. She was an All-Conference performer in the OAA Red and is playing with PR1DE 2024 this spring. LaPrairie continues to become a true playmaker and shot maker. She’s become dynamic with the ball while being outstanding with her jumper. Her weekend was highlighted by a 21 point performance, with 9 of those points coming off triples.

LaPrairie is a quality guard that can handle the ball and make decisions like a lead guard, but also shoot like a high quality wing. She paced her team in their win against Lake Orion by scoring 17 points.

LaPrairie has been playing really good basketball for some time now. She led her team in scoring and was able to do it in a variety of ways. LaPrairie flaunted the 3 point range on her jumper. She looked very comfortable working left to right and had a very pretty swooping drive that she finished for 2 points. LaPrairie even looked solid in her mid range game, where she was able to hit a baseline jumper.

LaPrairie took an “I’ll prove it” approach to the summer and fall, and boy did she ever prove it. The best thing is, from spring through the fall, she kept playing better and better basketball. LaPrairie turned herself into a true multi level scorer. Her use of shot fakes and ball fakes allowed her to get to the rim as well as create space for her jumper.

LaPrairie might sneak under the radar sometimes, but not anymore for me. She nailed home her point at the David Barns Showcase in the fall. She knew she was better than what she was ranked, and she went out and proved it. LaPrairie showed solid ball skills and the ability to manufacture buckets.

LaPrairie is the perfect example of what grassroots season and showcase season can do for a players stock as a prospect. She showed some really nice dribble drive moves that showed off some big improvements she’s made in her overall athleticism and ability to change direction. LaPrairie defended well and seemed willing to do the little things on the court that can make the difference between winning and losing.
