Year after year it has ben shown that there is an even split with both sectors winning half of the games. This year the private schools prevailed going 14-9 for the day.
Bailey did what she normally does dropping 20 pieces on opponents. She scored 15 of her game high 23 points in the first half while sitting out most of the second half. She scored from all levels hitting the three, two and getting to the line. She also showed that she can score even when on the defensive end.
Mary put up 40 in a losing effort to the host team McDonogh. She was terrific from long range knocking down eight 3-pointers. She did everything she could to turn what was initially a blowout game, a competitive and entertaining contest.
Da’Brya show some excellent ball handling skills and and three range. She showed poise at the point guard position leading the Engineers to an 11 point victory over their WCAC opponent St. Mary’s Ryken. If she can maintain this level of play they should be the favorites come playoff time.

Simon scored 18 points all in either the second or fourth quarter gaining a 43-37 win public school win over Friends School of Baltimore. With the game tied she was able to score 6 straight baskets with one coast to coast play where she got past multiple defenders for the score.
Aryss scored 24 points in the comeback victory over Old Mill. She used her speed and athleticism to find gaps and elevate over defenders for shots. She played at a pace a step quicker than everyone on the floor even her own teammates.
