2025 Rankings Update: New Names Part 1

She was playing in the paint yet over the years, her progression has enabled her to step outside the paint and create serious problems, both at the TJ Showcase with her club team as well as recently with her high school squad at the <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2022/11/top-performers-ladygandertipoff-baytown-division/">Lady Gander Tip-Off</a></strong>. I love her ability to create her shot under pressure, as well as knock it down, under pressure and finding players that understand how important the midrange jumper is will always be a plus. She left me speechless a few weeks ago via<strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2023/01/friday-the-13th-5a-region-1-buzz-watch/"> LIVESTREAM</a></strong> and to be honest with you, she's one of the best defensive guards in<strong> Texas,</strong> all classes, that I have seen. The thing about her is that she actually enjoys applying heat, I love things you can't teach, and when you factor in her explosiveness off the dribble as well as court vision, I expect her to make several jumps</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='594028' first='LeAjah' last='Maddox']-5'10 SF (Mansfield Legacy) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#37</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Maddox is "long and athletic" always remember that is a profile I love to evaluate but more importantly, so do college coaches, they offer scholarships and I mentioned that from her <strong><a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2023/01/mansfield-spring-creek-invitational-2025-standouts-day-2/">Spring Creek Mansfield Invitational</a></strong> performance. Her interior defense was nice, yet she also stepped outside the paint and applied "on-the-ball" pressure. She understands how to set the defender up to attack the basket, she also showed good body control on her finishes, which she also did after contact</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='594030' first='Lily' last='Melton']-5'5 CG (Glen Rose) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#38</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Melton is probably one of the top long-ball shooters in Texas, well not probably, she is and after dropping over 130 at the last count, there's no telling where she'll end up.
