With the basketball, this young woman is truly capable of anything. She scores 15 points on average per game, but she is capable of other things as well. She is a skilled rebounder as well, having consistently surpassed double figures this season. Capable of playing effectively in the paint, playing through contact, and converting free throws. A strong defender can cover numerous places while causing turnovers. Among the top three in her league for passing accuracy, scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals.
Jim noticed her and was really impressed with how much she had improved this year, raising the bar for her game and team. excellent handling, able to dish the ball to her open teammates, can penetrate to the rim through contact, and score from midrange. She can start a game with her three-point shooting and has great range. Her dad is a varsity coach, so she is familiar with the game and has good court vision.
With the outstanding upperclassmen on her squad, she hasn’t been expected to score a lot, but occasionally she has stood up and got the job done when needed to help her team. She will defend the opponent’s greatest offensive player because of her length and quickness. Excellent rebounder who consistently averages double figures. Sophia has adapted well to the high school game and hopes to develop it further.
A true point guard who this season has helped many people see things differently. She can defend the majority of guards, regardless of their class, as she is very athletic and quick. She is prepared to step up her game and has a great court vision and passing ability. Good handling and the ability to make shots for oneself or one’s team. Can play point guard and control the game’s tempo.
Excellent game, and her 3-point shooting percentage is now 41. Huge gym rat who is constantly eager to learn. She has excellent ball handling skills and in 22 games as a point guard playing more than 30 minutes per game, only committed 25 turnovers, according to her coach. This season, she’s working on her defense and anticipates well.
