What a career for this young lady! She’s heading to Cedarville next year but first she wants one final run in the postseason. They are the number one seed out of Dayton and she is poised to make memories with what they hope is a solid few weeks. I’ve said before, I love her demeanor and her ability to just be a natural born leader.
I don’t know many more floor leaders that can lead like this girl. She always has good poise and a strong head on her shoulders even after a couple of mistakes or a couple of great plays. She just goes out and gets a job done. Excellent stroke from the three, pull up jumper is strong, and her defense is masterful! Her poise is what makes her so special! (Featured photo above)
I just wrote about this young lady recently after the opening weekend tournaments. Katie is as calm and relaxed of a point guard as there is. She’ll make mistakes but she doesn’t let her affect her game. Has an excellent shot, can put the ball on the floor and finish with either hand. As far as a pure floor leader, it’s hard to find one better than this young lady. She’ll be heading to Cedarville next year.
One thing I really like about Katie is her ability to play the game poised all the time. Even after a turnover, she forgets about it and come back to make a big play. Did not score a single point in this game, yet she was very effective running the show that that’s what makes her next level kid!
As the defending league POY, Katie will see her role increase with the loss of some strong offensive players. She can score with the best of them, but will be counted on for more roles. She is a natural-born leader, plays the game as cool and calm as anyone at her position. She is headed to Cedarville for her college career!
She needs no introduction, but she’s back from meniscus surgery one month ago and looked sharp on the court. She made her court return on Saturday only playing one day, and knocked down some threes and she just plays the game so calm and cool. Such a great leader. She’s committed to Cedarville, but is ready to finish out her senior year with a great season. (Featured photo above)
FIrst of all, she is the epitome of what a leader is supposed to be. Outstanding handles, plays with poise and her basketball IQ is second to none. Excellent range and she has a quick shot from deep behind the three. Can score off the move. Defensively, she can lock you down and force mistakes. She has committed to Cedarville.
The Cedarville signee has always been a great leader and plays the game with poise and calmness. Great shot from behind a three and able to create opportunities for her team. Great head on her shoulders and a great basketball IQ.
She seals her defender and scores around her opponent with her amazing drop step, making her nearly unstoppable in the paint due to her stature. She is a real problem in the paint and always guards the ball with her powerful physique to box out and rebound the ball every chance she gets. She quickly wants the ball on the block and puts a body on someone and when the ball is in the air she’s always ready to rebound. She uses a nice pick and roll to score most of her points. Moving up to number 30 from number 31. An offer from Cedarville University.
Nothing shocking about her performance, Katie is a special guard. She played well in all aspects of her game in the couple of games I got to see. Always in command, she can knock down the three, score off the move and showed quality leadership. She is only a junior and looks to continue to improve.
