The top ranked team in the state was able to get revenge on last season's postseason loss to Valley Vista on Thursday night, but it wasn't easy. At the end of the first quarter, Desert Vista held a slim 19-17 lead. Desert Vista was able to expand that lead to 8 at the half leading 38-30. The Tigers came out of halftime on a whole other level. The Tigers went on a 22-3 run in the 3rd quarter which would create a 16 point lead of 48-32. Sandra Day OC would attempt to cut the lead but finally fall 58-52.
