Angie’s D1 Central Takeaways- 2/18

Here are my key takeaways from these games! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ava Collins: G, 5'8, 2024 </strong> played a very solid game on Saturday. She gave very valuable minutes off the bench, with strong moves to the basket, and showed her confidence in launching 3's, hitting nothing but nylon! I think she plays a very key role for the Rocks, particularly with her outside shot. She has a pretty outside shot, quick release, and likes to be challenged. She plays with no fear! Love how she goes after any loose ball! Love how she gets from point A to point B quickly, does a great job sitting low on defense, and she can light it up from outside! She sees the floor well, finding the open seams. Defensively, she thrives on applying pressure, which results in picks and fast break opportunities. And the way she crashes the boards- its impressive!
