INTRODUCTION: Arizona has many outstanding high school rebounders. Here's a profile of the top five, including four seniors and a junior.

KILEY BUSH - is a 5-11 senior guard at Combs High School in San Tan Valley. She is leading all high school players in the state in rebounding with an average of 16.4 per game, As a 12-year-old she was diagnosed with a hearing loss and eventually had to give up her first love - dancing. The first time she picked up a basketball was when she was a sophomore in high school. Under Coach Katie Fonseca, Kiley is also a member of the Valley Basketball Club. Coach Fonseca helped Kiley develop a go-to up-and-score move that helped improve her offensive game. After averaging just six points and six rebounds as a junior, she leads the team with an 18.5 scoring average. Opposing teams have no answer for her post presence. She also plays on the school volleyball team which has helped her hand-eye coordination. She was selected as the Player of the Game by Max Preps on two occasions - against Mesquite and Estrella Foothills.

EVALUATION: Kiley is the perfect example of what a young athlete can achieve with drive and determination to be successful. She only picked up a basketball for the first time two years ago, and now, as a senior, leads her team in scoring (18.5 ppg) and leads the state in rebounding (16.4 RPG). She has an outstanding career ahead of her and will certainly be playing at the next level next season. x

[player_tooltip player_id='550690' first='TAYLOR' BROCK'] - is a 6-1 power forward for Mingus High School. She is currently second in the state in rebounding, averaging 14.7 boards per game. She is also averaging 17.3 points per game and 3.7 steals. Taylor is averaging a double-double and in a December contest against Moon Valley, she had 19 points and 19 rebounds. Against Tempe High School in December, she came close to a triple-double: 30 points, 20 rebounds, and nine steals. In a game in January of 2021, she was named Player of the Game against Flagstaff. She had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and shot 60% from the floor. Her current varsity totals - 49 games - include an average of 11.8 points and 11.7 rebounds. Four different offensive statistics have improved in each of her four seasons at Mingus. For both her junior and senior seasons, she is shooting over 50%.

EVALUATION: Taylor is a double-double machine who is also an outstanding defender. She protects both the offensive and defensive rims and her presence is almost intimidating to her opponents. Her defensive anticipation is off the charts which leads to quick steals. Her overall offensive numbers have improved each season and she has become a terrific shooter. Taylor will undoubtedly be playing at the next level come fall.

RYLIE SINNER - is a 6-1 senior forward/center who plays for Anthem Prep and is currently third in the state in rebounding with an average of 14.1 boards per game. She is also a member of the Anthem Prep volleyball team. She was selected by Max Preps as Player of the Game by recording a double-double against Mayer High School. She also had double-doubles vs. Antelope Union and also against North Pointe High School. Rylie also had four steals in two different games - against Trivium Prep and against Lincoln Prep. She has been a member of the Eagles varsity team for four years.

EVALUATION: Rylie is a tremendous rebounder at both ends of the court, protecting both the offensive and defensive rims. She is an outstanding presence on defense with a wide wingspan and quick hands. Her defensive specialties are steals and blocking shots. Her offensive game is evolving and both her shooting and ball handling have shown much improvement.

ALLY CROUSE - is a senior at Benson High School and currently fourth in the state in rebounding, averaging 13.8 rebounds per game. She is also averaging 18.9 points per game. She is second on her team in assists. The Benson Bobcats play in the 2A East Region. In a recent win over St. David, she scored 30 points, was perfect from the foul line, and shot 73% from the floor. The week before, Ally poured in 27 points and shot 62%. She has been a starter since her freshman year and has improved her offensive production has improved each season.

EVALUATION: Ally is an outstanding all-around player. Her offensive production has been impressive, her defensive play has improved each year, and her rebounding totals speak for themselves. She is currently fourth in the state in rebounding and, seemingly, getting better with each game. Ally is a vocal team leader and she recently passed 1,000 career points. She has a great career ahead of her.

SYDNEY DICKERSON - is a junior forward for Phoenix North High School who is currently fifth in the state in rebounding, averaging 13.3 boards per game. Through 25 games into the 2022-23 season, she is averaging 11.3 points per game and 2.1 steals per contest. She recently had two double-doubles in games against Browne High School and Alhambra High School. In a game against Camelback, Sydney was selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps. She has been selected as Player of the Game a total of five different times between November of 2022 and February of 2023.

EVALUATION: Sydney has developed an overall sound game in the past two years, both on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Now a junior, she is her team's overall leader both on and off the court. The fact that she is fifth in the state in rebounds per game and that she consistently records double-doubles makes her an outstanding college prospect.
