<p>Tuesday night kicked off the first round of the big dance in the TSSAA Division II State Tournament.. The state of Tennessee saw some phenomenal young ladies in action and boy they didn't disappoint. From the tip, girls went back and forth as their fate towards advancing hung in the balance. With everything on the line, you saw players give their all as they tried to help propel their club onto the next round.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245292' first='Jailyn' last='Banks'] (5'8/Sr./CG/ MTCS)</strong>- Led the Lady Cougars with 20 points last night. She was tough to stop as she did pretty much whatever to finish. From dialing it up from deep to attacking gaps, she was a nuisance and hard to stop. The D was on point as well. </p>

<p><strong>AC Shirley (5'10/Fr./ G/ MTCS)</strong>- This sharpshooter contributed 10 points to help her club claim the W last night. She found the bottom of the net and created opportunities that freed up herself and teammates. Had a great all around effort.</p>

<p><strong>Izzy Gavigan (5'11/ Jr./ G/ Father Ryan)</strong>- Big contributor last night for her club. The Fighting Lady Irish advanced as Izzy dropped 13 points and grabbed 6 boards. Her energy and hustle were on full display as she made sure her team would punch their ticket to the next round.</p>

<p><strong>Anna Pierce 20 (5'10/ Jr./ C/ Nashville Christian)</strong>- Was tough to deal with especially in the paint. She was a beast in the high percentage area. From scoring to grabbing boards, she was big for the Lady Eagles attack.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='399973' first='Ava' last='Pomeroy'] (5'5/ Sr./ PG/ Nashville Christian)</strong>- The floor general dropped 17 as she contributed to the Lady Eagles victory. Saw the floor well, created space and opportunities for her teammates to excel. Brought energy and tons of effort for the blue and orange.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='285369' first='Abby' last='McFarland'] 21 (5'8/Sr./ G/ PCA)</strong>- She was a bucket leading it fly from deep. Her ability to create shots is essential and was on full display. She found the bottom of the net countless times as her number was called. She finished with 21 points as the Lady Lions advanced onto the next round.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='405709' first='Daisy' last='Gale'] (5'8/ Jr./ CG/ PCA)</strong>- “Attitude determines how well you do it,” This is part of a quote from the great coaching legend John Wooden. DG dropped 15 points on her way to her club last night. From getting to the rim, hitting clutch shots, grabbing boards, steals, she was putting in that work and doing her part for sure.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='285361' first='Trinity' last='Fields'](5'5/ Sr./ PG/ Brentwood Academy)</strong>- Was on fire from the field yesterday. She had the midas touch as she made six 3 pointers. She finished with a game high 26 points as she led the Lady Eagles to victory.<br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='399926' first='Emmie' last='Moore'] (5'10/ Sr./ PF/ Fayette Academy)</strong>- Led the Lady Vikings with 13 points last night. Doing the little things helped propel her team to victory. Grabbing boards, communicating, hitting clutch shots, she was an important piece of the puzzle to the Lady Vikings attack.</p>
