Khalil can play both guard positions in the backcourt for the Lady Skyhawks. Samira was able to make plays for herself along with her teammates today. She finished at the cup with both hands while absorbing contact. Khalil pulled-up and connected on some mid-range jumpers today. She played quite aggressive and really showed some solid fundamentals. Samira finished with 23 points in the win. She entered the game with an 18.7 ppg average.
Hyman was active all game long with her play for the Skyhawks. She finished with 23 points in an opening round victory over Laurence Manning Academy. Kayce seems to do her best work around the paint area and remaining active on the glass. She was relentless with her play at times today. Hyman dropped a few short jumpers and showed a nice touch on the foul line.
The Lady Skyhawks will now play Northwood Academy on Monday in the SCISA Class 4A Quarterfinals.
Pringle sure didn’t want to end her high school career here today with the Lady Crusaders. Shandrea finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds according to my unofficial stats. She played inside-out all game long. Pringle looked to attack the rack at times and on several occasions today on the break. Pringle can post up with her back to the basket and has no problems being a mover-screener on the floor.
Reed came alive in the 2nd half in the Lady Hawks win over Northside Christian. Caroline has been steady all season with her play while averaging 15.2 ppg, 5.7 rebounds and 4.7 steals for the Lady Hawks (20-3). Reed is the top ball-handler and playmaker for the Lady Hawks in the backcourt. Caroline finished with 12 points in an opening round victory over Northside Christian. Reed looks to be going to Anderson University next season.
Kizer really shows to have some nimble footwork and movement from block to block around the paint. Reagan exploded for 27 points in the opening round of the SCISA State Tourney in a win over Marlboro Academy. She shows to have good hands and a willingness to work inside the paint for position. Kizer finished everything today it seemed for the Lady Cavaliers.
