For some seniors it was their " last dance" and for others their high school basketball journey continues. In this article we look at a few Seniors who had special performances in the District playoffs.

Melissa Epting / 2023 / 5'6 PG / Creekside

Epting played well and really showed a lot in the District playoffs. The senior guard handled the ball well and made some incredibly difficult shots look easy. Epting was definitely a three level scorer in the District playoffs knocking down several threes and making clutch shot after clutch shot from everywhere on the court. She also got to the rim on both sides and utilized good ball handling skills and quickness to get there. During the Districts, Epting averaged 14 points per contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='247187' first='Adashia' last='Keel'] / 2023 / 5'8 SF, PF / Nova

Keel was player of the game on night one of the District Playoffs. She was great on the boards (10 rebounds) and knocked down 20 points with a workman's effort. Keel plays with a lot of grit and power and has the ability to get to the rim. She does a good job of playing through contact, drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line. She is always a threat to record a double double because she gives relentless effort on the courts. Keel is a versatile player and she is a sleeper on the recruiting path. She is coachable and has a strong passion for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='91643' first='Jada' last='Jones'] / 2023 / 6'4 C / Sandalwood

Jones (cover photo) didn't make it to the finals, but her play in night 1 of Districts showed what she is capable of doing on any given night. She was unstoppable and posted a double double once again. At one juncture, Jones had nearly 14 consecutive points. For the season the senior averaged 14 points per game and 11 rebounds.

Ainslee Cade / 2023 / 5'4 / Creekside

No one plays with the energy of Cade and during the District playoffs she continued to show her leadership on the floor. Cade plays the game with passion and can score at all three levels on the court. She does a good job of setting the tone for her team. Cade can score on drives and she can also knock dow the three. Her stats from the opening of Districts ( 9 points, 4 steals, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds) is an indication of her all around energy on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='91656' first='Aja' last='Pollard'] / 2023 /5'10 SF / Bartram

For Pollard she showed a lot of aggressiveness this year and really adjusted her approach on the court. Pollard finished the season with nearly 40 threes and a little over 11 points per game. Pollard is as athletic as they come and 40 threes is impressive, but her ability to get to the rim with incredible athleticism leaves one speechless at times. There were a few plays in the District semifinals that really separated Pollard from a lot of prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='247233' first='Ella' last='Ortman'] / 2023 / 5'7 PG / Providence

Ortman was a District Playoff standout, averaging 16 points and knocking down five three-pointers in the two games played. Ortman can handle the rock, drive it, and shoot it from all over the court. For the season, the senior guard has knocked down 72 threes (shooting 40 percent) and averaging over 17 points per contest.
