I said this was the deepest 6A R3 I have seen in like forever, I say that every season for a variety of reasons so one more time, my preseason favorites were Summer Creek and Pearland, who have split so far New subscribers use simmiecolson30 to see even MORE

Pearland lost the first game in OT and won the second so tonight's games should be interesting, sadly all are at 6 pm, I have a meeting at 5 but unlike many, I am a REAL EVALUATOR so I'll figure it out

Hightower vs Katy- Campbell Center

The Lady Canes advanced in the opening round behind a scoring output from [player_tooltip player_id='206972' first='Madison' last='Bob'] but I guess the big question is can they contain Katy's Lyric Barr-6'0 SF [2023] Barr is trying to go out with a bang and after she exploded during the club season, she has placed her team on her back. Before any of these Christopher Columbus folks talk about "I told you this or that" my saying her upside was scary was documented 3 years ago. PROBABLE WINNER-KATY

Clear Brook vs Pearland- Dawson HS

I said Clear Brook would go as far as [player_tooltip player_id='307758' first='Rezia' last='Castillo'] took them against Beaumont Westbrook, who beat Summer Creek in the district play yet when I call a player a #D1Lock in the 2nd grade, I don't be guessing. The same thing for this game, the problem is Pearland has that young lady who will be a Tarheel next season, [player_tooltip player_id='96125' first='RyLee' last='Grays'], and the talented senior has kept adding more as far as skill-set to the college-ready frame she possessed at a young age. Her size, 6'1 and power, might be too much for the Lady Wolverines. PROBABLE WINNER-PEARLAND

Tompkins vs Memorial-Coleman Center

Tompkins roster is still jacked, the only players I know are [player_tooltip player_id='134038' first='Flyin' last='Adeleye'] and Caitlyn D'Addeico-5'9 SF [2024] yet they finished 2nd in one of the toughest districts in the area, that means a lot. I love Cinderella stories and Memorial feels like it's nowhere near MIDNIGHT as [player_tooltip player_id='134041' first='Riley' last='McCloskey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='204172' first='Abigail' last='Tomaski'], both 4-year starters, want to close their careers out in a big way, they already have. Factor in [player_tooltip player_id='340894' first='Draden' last='Moss']-6'0 SG [2026] who is unofficially the leading 3-point maker in the playoffs, I really don't know but I'm usually right even when I guess and I also think [player_tooltip player_id='158872' first='Nicolette' last='Polocheck'] is more than ready- PROBABLE WINNER-TOSS UP

Shadow Creek cs Summer Creek- LaPorte HS

Shadow Creek has one of the most explosive guards in Texas, [player_tooltip player_id='65935' first='Kameryn' last='Phillips'], another #D1Lock called by me in elementary school. A couple of knee injuries haven't held her back as she has put her team on her back playing multiple positions and controlling games from either end. [player_tooltip player_id='134042' first='Jorynn' last='Ross'] will be heading to Pepperdine after this school year, she also wants to help lead her team back to the state tournament, they represented the region last year- PROBABLE WINNER- TEAM WITH INITIALS SC
