Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Castillo sold me early, I probably have mentioned I called her a #D1Lock in the second grade; as always, I was right. Her ability to control the tempo and run her squad is second to none yet her court vision, even after rebounding was on point. She also attacked the basket strongly, created contact and score plus her defense was solid

Castillo is going to close it out from part 1 like she closes games out under pressure. Hey, I dropped #D1Lock on her in the SECOND GRADE, the only person younger was my daughter and with that Texas A&M Commerce signed, sealed, and delivered, what else see evaluation here

Castillo has always been one of those players that “I just knew” and mentioned several times that I dropped the #D1Lock on her in the 2nd grade. My name rhymes with Jimmy Olsen but he was a “cub reporter”, I’m a #RealEvaluator and KRYPTONITE has not changed that. Her explosiveness to score has always been an attraction yet her setting teammates up for gimmes will transition over nicely to Texas A&M Commerce

Castillo was “ice down the stretch yet when you’re a REAL EVALUATOR and call a player a #D1Lock in the 2nd grade, nothing she has done surprises me. She put her team on her back down the stretch and her body control, well-defying gravity to finish was special, yes including after contact. She nailed pressure free throws, controlled the tempo, and did a good job of executing for herself as well as her teammates

Castillo is committed to Texas A&M Commerce. Castillo is extremely athletic, plays with great body control and has immaculate floor vision. Defense struggles to contain her, and she will give the Southland Conference trouble! Speed and size are big differences going from the high school level to college. Based on Castillo’s power and athleticism, the transition should be smooth.

Castillo is one of the youngest players I have dropped that #D1Lock hashtag on, how about 2nd grade see evaluation here. Minor injuries have had her ranking juggled yet the show she put on in that same July event in the backcourt with Ogbevire was amazing. She played the passing lane and picked some pockets with her “on the ball” pressure, yet she easily blew by defenders to score or dish. The midrange was clicking and she controlled the tempo as she jumped 35 spots

Castillo is one of the youngest #D1Locks I’ve ever called joining Brooke McCarty as well as my daughter to fall into that not even 10 years old group. I don’t fabricate, I keep receipts, and if you read and comprehend after using the search bar, you can easily see. Her EXPLOSIVENESS gave defenders problems as she blew by players with ease yet her acrobatic finishes as well as her court vision were nice, as well as her “on the ball” pressure
