Wednesday saw quite a number of great performances and some teams clinch title game appearances in New Jersey. We definitely have way too many games to talk about in just an article, so we'll try to summarize as much as we can with a quick daily recap.

Piscataway Magnet's [player_tooltip player_id='588674' first='Matti' last='Miller'] goes off for 29 v. Warren Tech

Miller's play has definitely gone under our radar this season and we'll be the first to admit our faults with that because what a year she's having and what a game she had against Warren Tech, a 29-piece, which is her second-highest scoring total of the season. She's averaging 17.5 PPG for Piscataway Magnet and has nine 20-point games, highlighted by a 39-point masterclass against Woodbridge Magnet.

Sweeney powers Sparta to victory with a 28-point night

We've made sure to talk about Sparta and Sweeney in particular because of just what an incredible player she's been, and no surprise, she had another spectacular game on Wednesday, scoring 28 points on Morristown, her sixth 20-point game in eight games for the Spartans. Sweeney is currently averaging 22.4 PPG as a senior for Sparta, a career-high in that department, and she's closing in on 1,500 career points.

Hightstown breaks 35-year Mercer County Tournament title appearance drought

Hightstown's latest win on Wednesday set new program history as the Rams defeated Pennington School, 68-57, to advance to the Mercer County Tournament title game for the first time in 35 years. [player_tooltip player_id='404218' first='Kyla' last='Glasser-Hyman'] was on-point in the win, putting up a game-high 30 points, and both [player_tooltip player_id='844403' first='Penelope' last='Swarn'] and [player_tooltip player_id='325190' first='Abby' last='Misier'] posted impressive double-doubles, 10/17 with five blocks for Swarn and 19/16 with two blocks for Misier.

Williamstown advances to Tri-County Conference tournament final in OT thriller

It was an incredible game during Wednesday's Tri-County Conference tournament semifinal, but in the end, the Braves moved on to the TCC final thanks to a massive showing from [player_tooltip player_id='397076' first='Iriona' last='Gravley']. The junior, easily having her best season to date, put up a 29-point, 10-rebound double-double with five blocks and five steals. Not to be forgotten, Gloucester Catholic's Jahzara Green put up 13/16 with a block and two steals in the loss.

Saddle River Day wins Bergen County Tournament

The Colonial Rebels haven't just dominated Bergen County basketball in recent years, they run the county and wow has it been impressive. Saddle River Day took down Immaculate Heart in the BCT final, 42-37, thanks to great scoring from [player_tooltip player_id='325189' first='Cristina' last='Parrella'] and [player_tooltip player_id='325218' first='Julianna' last='Almeida'], who combined to score 26 of SRD's 42 points. Parrella led all scorers with 15, Almeida with 11, and an impressive 11 rebounds from Jessica Carter in the win.

Carman leads RBC to Shore Conference Tournament final

We are going to have a potential dogfight on our hands in the final of the Shore Conference Tournament final as St. John Vianney dominated St. Rose in a 43-point victory and Red Bank Catholic edged Manasquan, 44-38, in the semis. [player_tooltip player_id='333319' first='Tessa' last='Carman'] was the story of the night for the Caseys (24-1) as the sophomore scored a game-high 17 points in the win, the lone RBC player to score in double-figures.

Gorczyca, Rooney, post double-doubles for Westfield in dominant win

You will surely be seeing Westfield in the finals of the Union County Tournament after a dominant 71-39 win over Elizabeth in the semifinals, led by Paige Gorczyca, who went off in the win, a 29-point, 15-rebound performance, setting career-highs in both categories. [player_tooltip player_id='488651' first='Sara' last='Rooney'] was equally impressive as she recorded her first career double-double, also setting career-highs in points and rebounds with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils.

Medford Tech's Jacobs reaches 1000 point club

To end this recap off, we couldn't not talk about the incredible accomplishment of Medford Tech senior [player_tooltip player_id='481575' first='Jada' last='Jacobs'], who scored her 1000th point against Maple Shade. Jacobs scored 31 points in the win, her sixth 30-point game of the season, as she's in the midst of a Player of the Year type season as a senior, averaging 22.1 PPG and an incredible six steals a game. In 49 career games with Medford Tech, Jacobs is averaging 20.4 PPG.
